One thing I’ve noticed when speaking with pregnant mums expecting their next baby...

Many aren’t worried about labour so much.

They’re worried about breastfeeding.

Because this time, they know what can happen.

They remember the pain.

The cracked ni***es.

Being told to continually pump.

The (out of date) advice coming from every direction.

And trying to keep going while completely exhausted.

Many mums are questioning themselves.

“What if it’s just as hard this time?”

If that’s crossed your mind, I want you to know something:

A difficult first experience doesn’t mean your next experience will be the same.

And the right reparation matters.

The support matters.

Learning how your body, your breastmilk and your baby work together before birth matters.

🍃 What’s the biggest thing you’d like to avoid repeating from your first breastfeeding journey?

If someone had told me there was a way to prepare nourishing meals and care for myself after birth...
To support my recovery, regain my energy, and increase my chances of breastfeeding comfortably and for as long as I wanted...
With my first pregnancy, I probably would’ve smiled politely and thought,
“Thanks, but I’ll be fine.”

But if someone had told me this while I was pregnant with my second baby? (When I thought prenatal yoga would be enough).
I would’ve listened differently.

Because the heartbreak of feeling like I’d failed my first baby, after becoming so depleted and stressed, stayed with me for a long time.

I was surviving on whatever food was in the cupboard or fridge, while trying to recover from pregnancy, birth, and exclusively breastfeeding.
I was running on empty.

And yet I didn’t think “This isn’t normal”.
I had no guidance.
No roadmap.
No understanding of what my body truly needed to heal and thrive.

Now, years (and 4 more babies later) what I’ve gained through my own experiences, reflection, study, and passion is this:

A mother needs to be nourished with the foods that support her.
She deserves warmth.
Replenishment.
Encouragement to trust in herself..
She deserves to feel alive in her body again.

And breastfeeding should feel gentle and supported - not something she simply has to endure.

A replenished mother is everything.
And when a mother is deeply nourished, her baby has the opportunity to thrive alongside her.

I’d love to know, what’s one thing you wish you’d known before having your baby?

Not by hospitals.
Not in antenatal classes.
Not even by well-meaning professionals.

✨The first 3 hours after birth can have an impact on your breastfeeding journey.✨

Dr Robyn Thompson, midwife, educator, and founder of The Thompson Method, reveals what’s really happening during what she calls the 3 Golden Hours.

This is the window where your baby is biologically primed to feed.

Where your body is designed to respond.

Where everything can begin with more flow and ease (and be prepared if things don’t go to plan).

But here’s the hard truth most women don’t realise:

The hospital system is built for efficiency, not for breastfeeding success.

And that means these precious hours are often interrupted, rushed, or completely missed.

If you’re planning to breastfeed, this is something you deserve to - and need to know.

Because when you understand how to protect these first hours… it can help you experience:
✨ Reduced risk of breastfeeding pain
✨ More confidence
✨ A gentle, more connected start for both you and your baby.

I’m sharing something thats really changing how women experience breastfeeding.

Because you don’t need to struggle (again).
Instead, be informed.
Be empowered.
Be prepared.

Are you ready to empower yourself? Let me know.

What everyone says: “Just eat a balanced diet with plenty of fibre”

But here’s what they don’t know:

After birth your body is healing, your digestive fire is low (digestive enzymes & stomach acid naturally decreases).

Eating raw salads, high fibre cereals and heavy foods that are hard to digest can actually leave you feeling
Bloated
Exhausted
Uncomfortable with reflux

This is why traditional cultures don’t give their mother’s smoothies and salads!

Soups, stews, broths, spices to support digestion help replenish your body, rebuild your stores and support your hormones.
