Not every day unfolds the way we hoped.

Some days feel heavy. Plans unravel. Doors close. Emotions run high, and it can be tempting to focus only on what has gone wrong.

But in those moments, pause.

Take a breath and look around. There is still something to be thankful for. The roof over your head. The warmth of a cup of tea. A message from a friend. The sunrise you almost missed. The lesson hidden within the challenge.

Gratitude doesn’t ignore pain. It simply reminds us that pain isn’t the whole story.

When life feels like it’s working against you, remember that someone else may be wishing for the very things you already have. That perspective doesn’t diminish your struggles—it gently reminds us that even in difficult seasons, there are blessings waiting to be noticed.

Today may not be going to plan.

But today is still a gift.

May you find one small moment of gratitude, one quiet breath of peace, and one reason to keep believing that brighter days are on their way.

Those who have crossed the threshold—even for a heartbeat—rarely speak first of death.

They speak of peace.

Of light.

Of coming home.

Perhaps the greatest mystery isn’t what waits beyond the veil…

Perhaps it’s why so many return changed.

Today’s card is about loyalty.
‘Raised by Wolves’ is a card that shows us our real family. Not the one born into, not the one we project outwards to be accepted by society. But the person who has found their people. Not by blood, but by choice.
As the girl raised by wolves proves, you do not need to fit a certain mould to be accepted.
So if you are at a crossroads, if your family is not accepting your identity or life choices, remember your clan. Your clan will protect you, shed skin with you and keep you safe from the assaults of those who do not see the real you.

Have you ever lived in a house with a resident spirit?

Back when I used to live in the UK we lived in a semi-attached 2 story house.
If we went on holiday, without ‘telling’ our spirit we would return and find all our pictures upside down, items placed on the stairs and a general feeling of anger!
When we first experienced it we were outraged, but then decided - just tell her!
Yes it was a woman. She would sometimes walk into the living room, dressed in a white long dress, plaited hair and just look at us.
She was not evil or had bad energy but just attached to the house.
Back then I didn’t know how to help her do unfortunately when we moved overseas, and asked her to come, she remained.

There are some things we only seem to find the words for once someone is gone.

The “I love you.”
The “I’m proud of you.”
The “Thank you for everything you’ve done.”
The stories we wish we’d asked about. The moments we thought we’d have time for.

Life has a way of making us believe there will always be another visit, another phone call, another chance.

Today is simply a gentle reminder that the people we love deserve to know what they mean to us while they can still hear it.

A conversation.
A hug.
A handwritten note.
A shared cup of tea.
A few precious words spoken from the heart.

These small moments often become the ones we treasure most.

At Beyond the Veil, we’re reminded every day that love doesn’t end when a life does—but expressing that love while someone is here is one of the greatest gifts we can give, both to them and to ourselves.

If someone came to mind as you read this, perhaps that’s your sign to reach out today. 🤍

✨ Struggling to Connect? ✨

If your connection to Spirit feels quiet right now, don’t assume you’ve lost your gift. Even experienced mediums go through periods where the connection feels distant.

Often, it’s not that Spirit has stepped away—it’s that life has become noisy.

Return to the basics. Sit in the power. Spend time in stillness. Ground yourself in nature. Let go of the pressure to “get it right” and simply be present.

Your strongest connection comes when you’re connected to yourself first. Your higher self is the bridge between you and Spirit, and when you nurture that relationship with trust, patience, and self-care, the connection naturally begins to flow again.

Remember… Spirit hasn’t stopped speaking. Sometimes we just need to quiet the world long enough to hear the whisper. 🤍✨

Consistency

Consistency isn’t just about showing up for work, the gym, or the people we love—it’s also about showing up for ourselves.

One of the most powerful habits we can build is taking a few quiet moments each day to connect with our higher self. Whether it’s through meditation, journalling, sitting in silence, or simply asking, “What do I need to know today?” that regular connection helps us hear our own inner wisdom more clearly.

The truth is, our higher self is always there. The challenge isn’t whether it’s speaking—it’s whether we’re making the time to listen.

And if I’m being completely honest… this is advice I need to take myself. Life gets busy, responsibilities pile up, and sometimes the very practices we encourage others to embrace are the first ones we let slip.

We’re all human. We all have moments where we drift away from the habits that nourish our soul. The important thing isn’t perfection—it’s recognising when we’ve wandered and gently finding our way back.

Today, I’m reminding myself to reconnect. Maybe this is your reminder too. 🤍✨

Have you ever had a dream that repeated itself years later?

Not just similar… but exactly the same.

Imagine having a dream, then 40 years later finding yourself in that very same dream again. Every detail is familiar. You know what’s around the next corner, what will be said, and what is about to happen before it unfolds.

This is often called lucid dreaming—when you become aware that you’re dreaming while the dream is still happening. But when the same dream returns decades later, it leaves us wondering…

Is it simply the mind revisiting an old memory? Or could it be something more? A message from Spirit, a soul lesson, or a place our consciousness returns to when we’re ready to understand it on a deeper level?

Our dreams can be far more than stories our minds create. They may be doorways, reminders, or gentle whispers from beyond the veil.

✨ Have you ever experienced the same dream years apart and known exactly what was coming next? I’d love to hear your experience in the comments. 💜

There is something sacred about the first moments of the morning.

Before the world starts asking for our attention, we have the opportunity to come home to ourselves.

My morning ritual is simple:
☕ A warm coffee in my hands.
🕯️ The gentle scent of incense filling the space.
🌿 A few moments to ground my energy and breathe deeply.
🎶 Music that lifts my spirit and sets the tone for the day ahead.

These aren’t just habits—they’re small acts of self-care that help me begin each day with intention, gratitude, and a sense of peace.

Your morning ritual doesn’t have to be elaborate. It only needs to be meaningful to you.

✨ What does your morning ritual look like? I’d love to hear what helps you start your day feeling centred.
