Yes, that first photo is me. 🖤
Years ago, during my modeling career, I learned to hold my body a certain way before I ever learned to feel it. Stomach flat. Shoulders back. Take up the "right" amount of space, never more.
When I stepped into the wellness world and trained as a yoga teacher, I thought I was leaving that all behind. But the same themes were still there, just dressed differently.
The same pressure to look a certain way, even in spaces meant to be healing.
It's one of the saddest things I still see in women's wellness today.
True wellbeing was never actually meant to be built on appearance. It lives in the nervous system. In the breath. In the important and beautiful relationship a woman has within her own body, not how that body looks holding a pose.
What I teach women now is what I wish someone had taught me back then, in the modeling industry, and in those early days of my career in wellness too.
This is the work I care about.
Helping women come home to themselves, gently, with love, and without the performance the outside world so often demands of us.
🌸We only have 2 spots left in our anticipated September Nurturing Women's Retreat.
🌸 A space to slow down, reconnect, be in communion with fellow women, and learn more about your own body.
If this speaks to you, head to the link in my bio or send a DM to claim your spot.
