Magical Clover meeting the medicine of the drum.

It was co-facilitation with the horses on this beautiful day, when we gathered for Herd Wisdom, Heard Wisdom at Heart of the Horse.

Most times at these unique events, we'll meet in circle, hang out in the paddock, held by the herd. Then we break before moving into the cosy bell tent for a dose of sound healing. Deep listening and dropping in.

But there was something in the air on this day that called the instruments out to the paddock. The horses were holding the group for much longer than usual. We took their cue.

Last month, it was the weather cue. Into the tent first while it rained, and then out with the horses in the afternoon. Flexible weavings with nature and the elements.

Come and let Clover meet you. Join Rachael and I for the last event of the season on Sun 28 June, 11am-3:30pm.

Nourish your nervous system the all natural way. Limited spaces in the tent so book at https://wanderintowildness.as.me/herd-wisdom-heard-wisdom

On the roadie back from Warrnambool Yoga Festival today, Bec Awaken Yoga Studio mentioned that as a dancer, she knew she'd made the 'big time' when there were curtains to open. Not just an empty hall with seating.

Well, Sunday Soothe made the big time at the weekend. The great reveal of the mid court mat curtain raise was rather fun, even if it was really just a very clever logistics tool.

Thanks to Rosie and Ollie at Yoga Festival Tribe for having us again this year to share our work. We usually go deep with small and intimate groups so it was great to offer practices and experiences to over 50 humans.

Castlemaine, we're back this weekend for your dose of Sunday Soothe. Join us at 5pm on 21 June. All will be revealed.

It’s only a cult if you can’t ask questions. And on retreat, we ask a lot.

Both Compass and Sacred Symphony are anchored in deep enquiry and contemplation.

Ponderings prompted by practice. Musings in a mantra framework.

Sure, waking at 5am to gather in silence before chant walking across bush track to secluded beach for a sun rise sadhana, that might seem a little odd when you first hear about it.

But after six days of building connection to the mantras and committing to before breaky sessions, this greeting of the day is golden. Blissful. A reminder of what it means to be alive within the symphony of life.

Our cultural disengagement from ritual can feed fear or ridicule of such reverence. But the deep listening and presence we return to on retreats is an embodied rebuttal and reclaiming of truth.

Mantra can be playful too.

We’ve not yet come up with a name for our impromptu kitchen band at Sacred Symphony last month, but there’s only so many days you can ignore the caterer’s call to dinner triangle and not get some kind of groove going.

Actually, the whole point of our retreats is to get your own groove going again.

A restoration. But beyond rest. Shifts. Insight.

Bec Awaken Yoga Studio and I spend a lot of time cultivating and caressing our retreat content and sequences.

These are not holidays. We curate transformative yoga sound experiences. At least four sessions on most days.

One of our recent guests remarked that each session and the integration time felt like a whole day in itself. In a good way.

Yep, we intentionally meet and move through stuff. Deep work. Beautiful ways.

If you feel the call, our 2026/27 retreat schedule is below.

You don’t need yoga, mantra or sound healing experience – just a willingness to participate, be curious and meet yourself:

My 1:1 sound therapy is back in Castlemaine. I've had a few Bendigo-ish folks comment that Malmsbury is just that little bit far to travel for a soundie.

So, one Sunday a month I'll be setting up Awakening Yoga - Wendy Hansford (in the hours before a Sunday Soothe).

It's a bit of a trial run but Castlemaine bookings are now open for:
• 21 June
• 12 July
• 16 Aug
• 13 Sept

Malmsbury appts are avail Thu/Fri/Sat.

Retreats. Bloody love 'em. Gold stars for the juicy deep dive when you folks can consciously step away and dial down the noise of the world to listen to your own heart and hear your truth.

We've just got back from running our seven day cosmic adventure with mantra but Awaken Yoga Studio and I have actually been mapping our 2027 yoga sound retreat schedule today. Yep, lots of planning ahead.

We seem to be settling into a beautiful rhythm of Compass (3D/2N) in spring at Continental House Hepburn and Sacred Symphony (7D/6N) in autumn at Murrah Dream Retreat.

Anyway, on that note of planning ahead, heads up that this year's Compass Retreat payment plans close on 10 June.

If you'd like to join us from 6-8 Nov 2026, and pace yourself financially, now's the time to say 'yep'. Full retreat info and bookings at https://www.wanderintowildness.com.au/compass-retreat-yoga-sound-healing

I’ve had a frozen shoulder for over 12 months, along with plantar fasciitis on one foot.

Apparently, these are not uncommon happenings for menopausal women.

But I’ve also been feeling into the emotional and spiritual messaging that my body has been signalling.

The shoulder first went awry when the circumstances of someone who’d briefly come into my life prompted me to ponder a similar context for one of my ancestors.

That ancestor then said hello when I was getting a spinal treatment. I knew in that moment that I had to travel to the Sapphire Coast for ceremony.

The roadie opened up curiosity, which led Bec and I to ditch the silly idea of a Bali retreat, and to ‘accidentally’ find the dream venue for our recent Sacred Symphony – on that NSW south coast.

Just a couple of weeks ago on the retreat, our splendid caterer/massage therapist got into the shoulder. The ancestor returned, with the closing chapter to what’s been about four years of my body revealing secrets.

The stuff that has been frozen in time. And, in my shoulder.

I’ve had reiki, theta healing, sauna, colonics, healing with horses, plants, acupuncture, osteo, tuning forks.

Each has helped to melt away a little bit of the freeze and bring in some new snippet of awareness into my mind.

It’s been infuriating and confusing, as the weight, heaviness and lack of movement affected how I manage autoimmune stuff.

But I can see now and appreciate the natural intelligence of my body and my psyche titrating.

Today, I went to my first exercise physiology session. I’ve not been able to lift weights or to practice an aligned Sat Kriya for yonks. But now it’s move and repair time.

It has been necessary to sit with and meet discomfort, even as this diminished my capacity to meet the expectations of a grown up in this modern world [side note: that extrication is a blessing].

Anyway, this was a long story to remind me and you why depth work, energy healing and patience are so valuable for us.

And, why we need to listen to the signals, synchronicities and whisperings, and give things space and time to unfold.

WHAT'S ON in MAY | I've moved the big desk into the studio for a couple of client writing projects this month. Then it's road trip shenanigans for Sacred Symphony retreat, with a little R&R tacked onto the end.

I am aiming to avoid social media for the whole of May (yippee) so here's the rundown of what's on offer.

I can open only two sound therapy treatment days for the month. If you need a 1:1 dose or if hearts are open for Beloved Couples, then quick sticks nab your spot is my advice.

Plenty of group options available though - with me, plus delightful combos with Bec Awaken Yoga Studio and Rachael Heart of the Horse. Take your pick:
