Bulk Billed Implanon Insertions & Removals Available!

Implanon is a long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC) with 99.95% efficacy lasting up to 3 years. This means only 5 out of 10,000 women will fall pregnant while on it over 12 months.

It is a popular choice for women wanting reliable, low-maintenance “set and forget” contraception, with quick insertion and removal appointments available.

Our trained nurses provide Implanon insertions and removals under GP supervision with bulk billing available during this service expansion period.

Appointments available now.

Many women hesitate to choose an IUD because they’re worried about insertion pain, often based on what they’ve seen on social media.

While some experiences shared online can be confronting, they don’t always reflect the full picture. In our latest blog, we explain what IUD insertion actually involves, how we help manage discomfort, and the options available to support you through the procedure.

If you’re considering an IUD and would like clear, evidence-based information, we’re here to help.

💬 Auslink’s Sexual & Reproductive Health Myth of the Week — Answer

Yesterday’s myth was:

💊 You can only start the contraceptive pill while you’re on your period.

Answer: FALSE

In many cases, the pill can be started at any time in the cycle as long as pregnancy can be ruled out. This is sometimes called the “quick start” method and can make starting contraception much simpler.

If you’d like to talk through your options or find what suits you best, Dr Jean Ong supports many of our patients with contraception and reproductive health questions.

You can book with her at Auslink Medical Centre via our website or by calling reception at 9069 9188.
