I love me a full moon 🌕… how about you ?

🍓The Strawberry Moon.
Tomorrow June 29th

Tomorrow the night sky hosts one of the most beautiful celestial events of the summer, the Full Strawberry Moon.
Because peak illumination happens globally on Monday, June 29th, the best time for most of us around the world to step outside and view it, will be tomorrow evening at local moonrise, just as the sun sets.

Because this Moon arrives right after the summer solstice, it follows the lowest path across the sky of the entire year. Being so low to the horizon means its light has to pass through a much thicker layer of atmosphere. This scatters the blue light away and leaves behind a gorgeous amber, gold or reddish glow.

The name doesn't actually come from its color, but from old environmental calendars. Native American tribes used this June full moon as a signal that wild strawberries were perfectly right for picking, In old European folklore, it was known as the Honey moon or Mead moon, marking the time when hives were full of sweet summer honey ready to be gathered.

The Strawberry Moon represents the shift from planting seeds to reaping the very first rewards of your hard work. Sitting directly opposite the high energy of the summer sun, it is traditionally seen as a powerful night for grounding, shedding the heavy fog of the first half of the year, and welcoming sweetness into your life.

Whether you step outside to see the amber horizon or simply look out your window tomorrow night, take a moment to connect with the turning of the seasons. 🌕
