My path to Kinesiology -
After more than 30 years of working in a variety of business administration / accounts and a vast array of industries - continually trying to please other people - my body decided I needed to do something different! I needed an operation due to a problem in my shoulder and was not able to continue in my role at that time - I turned to meditation and Reiki to assist with
self help and healing. I soon realised I did not wish to work in an office anymore - continually sitting in front of a computer. I had started to notice the sick feeling from so many computers running in a small area and no fresh air, the central air-conditioning, artificial lighting and my body was not happy. I had tried Kinesiology 18 months prior and it totally fascinated me. I realised - this is something I can study and learn to do - Kinesiology can help so many people on so many levels .......... and my new journey began. It was like a light-bulb moment when the realisation hit me that this is what I need to be doing! This will be the remainder of my working life :)
I enrolled almost immediately at the O'Neill Kinesiology College near Perth - how incredibly 'lucky' is it that we happened to move to Western Australia and it just happens to be close to the best Kinesiology college in the world! From a learning and working perspective - this is the happiest I have been all my life! I am qualified with a Diploma of Kinesiology and will complete the Advanced Diploma in 2017. I am looking forward to helping those who seek balance and fulfilment in their lives. Kinesiology is such a profound modality that leads people to living a very happy and healthy life. By balancing the body, mind and soul -
'Kinesiology encompasses holistic health disciplines which use the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person's well-being. Originating in the 1970s, it combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies the elements which inhibit the body's natural internal energies and accessing the life enhancing potential within the individual.' (This definition was approved by the Australian Kinesiology Association in 1999).
