Just a little snippet of my trip to Singapore last week.

The Thermomix consultants took their annual trip to Thermofest and although I missed out on qualifying by a squidgen, I used my Thermomix pay to go anyway (yes I had FOMO!)

This trip really really reminded me of all the amazing things being a consultant has brought me. Being able to top up our family’s income, holidays all over the world, but for me the personal growth alone is out of this world! Honestly I feel sad when people say I can’t do what you do, you’re so much more confident than me. But little do they know I’m the shyest person around, terrible anxiety, terrified of life lol 😂 yet here I am after 14 years constantly being gently encouraged by my work friends to try new things and step outside my comfort zone. This trip I travelled alone for the first time ever, holidays the first three days alone, made perfume, took myself out to a 5 star dinner alone, and then met up with my work buddies after thermofest and did my first ever Ferris wheel ride and cable car ride. Yes this sounds silly to some maybe but as someone who struggles with trying new things I was pumped.

Thermomix has changed my life in so so many ways. I’ve traveled around Australia, Fiji, Europe and now Singapore. All things that were on my very far future bucket list to limited funds. And I’ve tried things I never thought were possible for me. I’m truly grateful for it all. 🫶

As much as I love Cookidoo, a lot of the time I’m also just a chuck things in and hope for the best kinda gal!

When the TM6 came out I LOVED the browning mode. But you know what I love even more?! On the TM7 it is no longer locked to Cookidoo!

What does that mean? Well you no longer need to use it as part of a Cookidoo recipe, so if you’re a bit of a chuck it in kinda person like me, you can do just that! You can also adjust the temp and style to suit yourself!

We’ve been making this dish a lot lately… a steak and potato salad bowl. My husband and I both like steak but like most people it’s becoming quite a stretch to the budget these days! I would much prefer to buy a good piece of fillet steak than a cheap piece but that means instead of eating it frequently or having it as the main part of the meal we make a small piece feed 4 of us. And I do this by making a kind of take on the Cookidoo fajita recipe. But instead I load up a salad bowl with lettuce, seasoned cooked potatoes, caramelised onions and capsicum, a few pieces of garlic butter steak and a sneaky bit of cheese and sauces. It’s delicious, it hits the spot and the family loves it. And it doesn’t kill the budget too completely! Obviously I use the amazing browning mode to do my caramelised veg!

Skinnymixers Dinners 4 for the win again!

Sometimes you just need a really really quick and easy dinner. And tonight it was!

Buttery Garlic Noodles from the Dinners book. Mr 8 loved the taste so much he didn’t even notice the veg finely sliced into it. I had chicken in the fridge to use up so diced it, made teriyaki sauce in the Thermomix and then used the intense browning mode to cook off the chicken
Brilliant and fast, definitely added to our make again list.

Now that I’ve arrived home again, it’s straight back into and making dinners again. To make it easy for myself I ordered the new Skinnymixers dinners 4 book and made the popular butter chicken risotto. Winner winner chicken dinner!
