Last month, we sent Uncle George Walley, off with well wishes for a happy and peaceful retirement after more than 15 years of dedicated service with Oseca and Nidjalla Waangan Mia.
Throughout his time with the organisation, Uncle George touched the lives of many people and made a lasting impact across our community. His passion for building strong relationships, creating connections, and bringing people together will be dearly missed. His warmth, wisdom, and genuine care for others helped strengthen community ties and foster a sense of belonging wherever he went. We wish Uncle George all the happiness, relaxation, and new adventures he deserves in this next chapter of life.
Thank you, Uncle George, for your dedication and the positive impact you have made on so many lives. Enjoy your well-earned retirement! 💙

Yesterday, our team participated in the Homelessness Week community event at Mandurah Forum, where we had the opportunity to connect with community members, share information about our services, and distribute hygiene packs to those who may benefit from additional support.

The event also provided a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, raise awareness of available support services, and connect with a range of local service providers.

Overall, it was a productive and rewarding event, highlighting the importance of collaboration, community connection, and practical support for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

On Wednesday 9 July 2026, a Telstra outage affected customers nationwide, impacting their ability to make phone calls, including calls to Triple Zero from Telstra services.

Telstra has advised the issue has now been resolved and testing has identified no further network issues.

WA Police received three welfare check requests associated with the outage. All welfare checks were resolved without issue, with no police or emergency services assistance required.

For updates and further information, please visit the Telstra website.
