The “in the news” section of this week’s Health Report discusses results of the STAREE statin trial (and other news, such as RSV vaccination). We are proud that our community played a small part in this important research on statins. Several of our patients participated in this trial over the past few years.

Today we welcomed Dr Emily Drakeford to our team. Emily has worked extensively in emergency medicine in NSW and Far North Queensland. She will be working between RMC and Manilla Hospital to complete some of her ACRRM rural generalist training.
