Collected Minds

Collected Minds High-quality online psychological therapy | Strong rural focus | Integrated GP Their efforts have been well-received.

We are a small team of clinicians who provide psychological therapy via Zoom, or phone if preferred. We have two mental health GPs who provide timely access to mental health care plans and referrals. All our clinicians have extensive experience working with clients from rural and remote areas. Individual sessions are available to book with our psychologists, and our mental health social worker pro

vides individual, couple or family (2-3 individuals) counselling. Background

We have a long history of delivering quality psychological therapy to communities with limited access to services. In 2010, clinical psychologist Kate McSweeney began her practice in the beautiful township of Mansfield in North East Victoria. Mansfield Psychology soon became a thriving, multi-clinician practice, with a reputation for providing responsive, informed and reliable services to the Mansfield community and surrounds. Following the devastating Black Summer bushfire season and the subsequent Covid-19 pandemic, Mansfield Psychology struggled to meet the rising demand for services. As a partnership between Kate and clinical psychologist Olivia Clayton, Mansfield Psychology recruited remote psychologists to deliver services through Telehealth, enabling a greater capacity to service what had become an ever-growing waitlist. Kate and Olivia soon saw the value of increasing access to services throughout their community, and while they have their roots firmly in North East Victoria, they were convinced that other rural and remote areas Australia-wide could benefit too. Recognising the need for access to exceptional psychological therapy, in September 2022 Kate and Olivia decided to rebrand as Collected Minds. They added Mental Health GPs to the team, to provide timely access to referrals, and a standard of collaborative care often overlooked in mental health services. As we head into winter, finding ways to stay socially connected becomes particularly important.

In this interview with Sandra Moon on ABC Goulburn Murray Breakfast (21 May 2026), clinical psychologist and director of Collected Minds, Olivia Clayton, discusses how isolation can creep in during colder months, why connection matters psychologically, and some simple, realistic ways to stay connected even when motivation is low.

Sometimes small moments of connection can make a really meaningful difference.

Gabi, our administration assistant since 2023, balances her studies in Medicine with supporting our team and clients on Fridays. She brings exceptional warmth and efficiency to her work.

We feel very lucky to have them both.
