It’s going to be a fun day of exploring the principles and philosophy of yoga through our asana practice as well as through our own unique bodies.
We get to play with hands on assists, learning how to read bodies and understand how fascia, the nadis and subtle body are related.

Ashtanga Yoga is specifically designed to bring your body into balance.

Where you are strong it brings mobility and where you need strength it brings stability.
Balancing your nervous system, breath and your inner awareness.

It is a sequence we repeat, can adapt and build for a purpose. Repetition calms the mind, it can be tailored to your needs and it reflects your evolution.

With over 25yrs of practice and 15yrs teaching I can share with you a yoga practice that has the tools to transform, regulate and understand yourself.

DUNSBOROUGH

Our next workshop will be at the beautiful a space where I spent many years so I’m so looking forward to reconnect and share this workshop.

We will be exploring the ability to read bodies, recognise individual differences in structure and movement, and adapt postures with greater sensitivity and precision.

We will look at the role of the fascia system, its influence on movement and function, and how this relates to both modern anatomical understanding and traditional concepts such as the “Nadis” and “Sthira Sukham”.

Intention will be placed on the art of hands-on assisting — not only the how, but the why and when. This includes a reflective exploration of the ethics of touch in contemporary yoga, cultivating awareness, respect, and presence in every interaction.

Whether you are refining your teaching skills or seeking a deeper connection to your own practice, this workshop offers a thoughtful, practical, and fun space to explore the layers of asana practice with clarity and intention.

Classes are on this long weekend:

Saturday Led Class 8am everyone welcome.
In a led class we synchronise our breath to each movement and our movements with each other. The practice builds collective energy but also calm because we tune into the rhythm of the breath and my count.

Monday 6-7am Mysore. This is a rolling start time between 6 and 7, come in quietly and begin your practice. In a Mysore class your practice is your own, you tune into your own breath, have autonomy over your experience, supported one on one by me.

If you would like to begin, message me.

I don’t just teach yoga. I’ve got a few other interests too. On Friday I played my first real Dj set, sharing a long-time love with a very fun crowd.

Before yoga, there was techno! 😎
As a teenager, back in the days of free parties and warehouse raves in the UK, I found an alternative culture that embraced diversity and a little rebellion.
Dancing gave me a feeling of connection, to myself and others and something bigger. At 16, I didn’t know what I was seeking but I knew the feeling.

Following that same thread led me to Ashtanga yoga and later to non-dual Śaiva Ta**ra. An understanding that consciousness moves through the body, as both shadows and light, all our aspects embraced as part of our true nature.

Ashtanga is a very real practice, loved by truth seekers and rebels too, there’s no bypassing yourself. Everything is met, balanced and embodied.

Dancing feels the same to me. The dark, heavy bass makes space for all our feelings and the melodies bring us into joy. Life is meant to be fun!

Last year my daughter taught me how to mix (quietly fulfilling my 16-year-old self’s dream of playing techno) I never thought I’d actually get to share that — especially through some big speakers!

Thanks to the friends who nudged me way out of my comfort zone. I’m not sure I’ve ever been more nervous! 🤩
