Fluid Flow is a result of more than 15 years search and experience of different styles of yoga and pilates. Fluid is the best word that describes the way I teach...smooth transitions and constant flow. I combine yoga and pilates, because I think they complement each other, like yin and yang...movement with control in pilates and freedom and openness in yoga. For me its beyond exercise, its a refle

ction of the way I look at life...a constant flow of energy, a constant movement, change...Like the waves of a gentle ocean..coming in and out of tide.

Embodiment.

It is a word we hear a lot these days.

But what is the essence of it?

For me, embodiment isn’t something we think our way into. We move our way into it.

I have found it on my yoga mat, where my breath reminds me to slow down.
In Pilates, where the smallest movements invite me to listen more deeply.
And on the dance floor, where I soften, surrender, and allow my body to speak a language that words never could.

Again and again, movement has reminded me that my body has always known.

For me, embodiment is a way of being. It is not only how we move on the mat, but how we move through life.

It is when my words, my values, my choices, and the way I move through the world all speak the same language.

The body is not something to master. It is something to be in relationship with.

To feel it all—the joy, the grief, the uncertainty, the beauty of being human.

Because the body remembers.

It knows when to soften.
It knows when to move.
It knows when to rest.

Maybe embodiment isn’t what happens in the studio.

It is what remains when you leave it.

It is the way you meet yourself.
The way you meet others.
The way you meet life. 🌀🩵💎 Captured by Angela Kaja Ferro | Photographer on retreat with 🪷 Yoga Movement Meditation margaretriverpilates

✨ Meet Glen (Squircle) ✨

As we get closer to Somatic Ecstatic, I wanted to introduce the beautiful human who will be curating the soundscape for our experience.

Glen is not on social media, but if you have been around the Margaret River community for a while, I am sure you will recognise his friendly face.

Music has been woven through Glen’s life from an early age. Growing up playing piano, he developed a deep appreciation for organic instruments and the way music can tell a story. When he discovered electronic music in his early twenties, it was the tracks layered with soulful melodies, live instrumentation and earthy percussion that truly captured his heart. Those elements continue to shape the music he shares today, creating journeys that invite people to move, feel and connect.

Whether it is a backyard party, a community gathering, Blossom Festival or Blazing Swan, Glen has a beautiful way of reading the room and creating a space where people feel free to let go, connect and simply enjoy the moment.

When I asked Glen what excites him most about this collaboration, he said:

“I’m really excited to create a sacred and safe space with Maria for everyone to connect with themselves, each other, and have a good dance.”

I have a feeling this is one of those collaborations that was meant to happen. I always get excited by synchronicities, and this feels like one of them. Bringing together Glen’s love of music with my passion for movement and embodiment feels so natural, and I can’t wait to witness what unfolds when we gather as a community. There’s something truly special that happens when music, movement and intention align.

See you on the dance floor.🤩💃

As we step into Leo season, we are invited to lead with courage, open our hearts, and express ourselves more fully. It is a season of creativity, vitality and living from the heart. ❤️‍🔥

Our Somatic Ecstatic ~ Embodied Dance Journey falls on 8 August—a date many consider especially powerful ♾️

In numerology, 8/8 represents abundance, balance and the infinite flow of energy. ♾️ 🌀It also coincides with the Lion’s Gate Portal, a time that many view as an invitation for transformation, expansion and deeper alignment.

I always get a little excited by synchronicities. When the season, the symbolism and our intention to get together all align, it can feel like a powerful portal—an invitation to move, to release, and to step more fully into ourselves.

You never need a reason to dance.

And yet, when so much aligns, perhaps it’s simply life’s way of whispering, this is your moment to say ✨ YES✨

Home again… and what a beautiful feeling it is. 🩵

The last two weeks in my beloved Bali have been everything my heart needed—precious family time, ocean swims, temple blessings, slow mornings, beautiful conversations, and moments I will treasure forever.

Movement found me in different ways. I shared a yoga class with my son at The Yoga Barn with José Luis Jiménez before dancing our hearts out at Ecstatic Dance, which was so very special. I had the joy of practicing aerial yoga with a beautiful local teacher named Kadek, at the hotel where we were staying. Her warmth and sense of humour were really inspiring.

As teachers, we hold space for others and it felt incredibly nourishing to step back and be a student—to receive, to be guided, and to experience movement through someone else’s lens.

I return home feeling inspired, deeply grateful, and reminded that our practice doesn’t always have to look the same. Sometimes it asks us to strengthen. Sometimes it asks us to soften. And sometimes it simply invites us to be fully present.

I am so excited to be back in the studio, tonicpilatescollective reconnecting with our beautiful community and sharing the magic of moving together once again.

✨ All classes are back this week 🧘‍♀️
✨ And I have a beautiful new offering to share with you very soon…do stay tuned 😍🌀💎

I can’t wait to see you. 🩵 ❤️

Last week my family and I visited Beji Griya Temple in Bali and received a beautiful water blessing. The temple is breathtaking, infused with a presence that feels both ancient and alive.

As we wandered through the sacred grounds, the priest warmly shared the meaning of each deity. When we arrived at Sri Lakshmi, he smiled and simply said, “The god of money,” before quietly adding, “abundance.”

His simple words stayed with me.

Perhaps they were simply a way of making her accessible, and for ease of translation, yet they also reminded me how often abundance is reduced to material wealth, when the essence of Sri Lakshmi feels infinitely richer.

For me, Sri Lakshmi is the Goddess of Abundance in its fullest expression. She gently calls me back to beauty, devotion, softness, receptivity, and gratitude. The more I consciously embody her qualities, the more I notice her presence—not in what I hope to receive one day, but in the blessings that are already here.

I feel her in the warmth of the morning sun on my skin, the fragrance of flowers, the sweetness of ripe fruit, meaningful conversations, shared laughter, the embrace of my family, and in those quiet moments where life asks nothing more of me than to be fully present.

Perhaps this is one of Lakshmi’s greatest teachings—that abundance is not simply something we seek, but something we embody. It unfolds through our willingness to receive, to soften, to notice the beauty already surrounding us, and to meet each moment with gratitude.

That is the Lakshmi I continue to deepen my relationship with. Not as a goddess of wealth alone, but as a gentle reminder that abundance is a way of being—a sacred communion with life itself 🙏🪷🌀💧✨

Winter Solstice Blessings ✨

The Earth pauses at a sacred threshold.

In the Southern Hemisphere, we enter the longest night, held by the wisdom of darkness, stillness, and deep restoration.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the sun shines at its peak, illuminating life in its fullest expression.

Dark and light.
Contraction and expansion.
Release and renewal.

Neither exists without the other. ☯️

The Solstice reminds us of the sacred balance woven through all things—a continuous dance between inward and outward, becoming and being.

May this Solstice be a moment to pause, reconnect, and remember that every season has its purpose. In the darkness there is nourishment, in the light there is growth, and in their sacred balance there is wholeness.🙏✨🌙

There is something incredibly powerful about returning to a space where the only thing being asked of you is to be present. Back in March this year, I gifted myself that space during retreat and Shakti Prana Vinyasa Teacher Training in Byron Bay with my beloved teacher, mentor and friend Our days began with dance, movement practice, meeting the sunrise, and ended with deep rest and cuddle puddles as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. Woven through were the rich teachings of Shakti Prana Vinyasa, heartfelt conversations, laughter, sisterhood, and moments of profound connection that continue to ripple through me months later. This annual immersion has become a non-negotiable for me. It is the time I need to refill my own cup, nourish my soul, and continue exploring the endless layers of this practice. Each year it reveals something new, yet somehow feels like a remembering of something that has always been there. Through teachings, I continue to uncover deeper layers of connection—to myself, to nature, to movement, and to the rhythms that weave through all of life. There are experiences from this training that I still cannot fully describe with words—moments of presence, inner knowing, connection and transformation that can only truly be felt.
Deep gratitude to for her guidance, embodied presence, her beautiful space holding, and for creating an environment where we are given permission to soften, to expand, to release, and to learn. Thank you for sharing these powerful teachings with such wisdom, authenticity, and heart.

And deep gratitude for the incredible women who share this journey alongside me. How blessed we are to have each other! My heart is still soaking it all in. The journey continues. Always a student 🌀🪷❤️‍🔥

My journey with Shakti has been unfolding in such a beautiful and personal way, feeling less like learning something new and more like remembering.
As always, my Shakti Prana Vinyasa teacher training with my incredible teacher arrived at divine timing, revealing another layer of a deeper connection with myself and my practice.

Sharing this beautiful message I received from a long-term yoga student… not as part of a marketing plan or a sales pitch, but as a testament to how incredible this practice truly is.

A testament to why I do what I do… and how deeply rewarding it is to feel that the essence of the practice has been received — beyond the physical, and into our lives, into our whole being.

To acknowledge those who keep showing up — committed, patient, open…
softening over time, allowing the practice to move through them.

Unfolding gently… like a blooming lotus. 🪷🌀🌊

A posture in a beautiful place may seem like a familiar image…but for me, it has never been just about the backdrop. Yoga teaches us to move beyond the outer form, into awareness… into direct experience. To inhabit the body fully, to attune to sensation, to breath, to prana—the subtle life force moving through everything.

And from that place, we listen. We feel beyond what is seen. We connect with the land— her texture, her songlines, her stories, her quiet wisdom that lives beneath the surface.

Through presence, the separation dissolves. It is no longer outside of us. It is experienced from within. And it is no longer just a place we visited- but a place that has become apart of us…and we have enriched it with our energy and presence too…
