✨Testimonials✨

There is something so special about hearing couples walk away from a Peaceful Birthing class feeling calmer, confident and genuinely excited for birth 💕

This is exactly why I love this work.

Birth preparation isn’t just about learning what may happen during labour.

It’s about understanding your body, knowing your options, supporting your nervous system, and helping your birth partner feel confident in their role too.

When you feel informed and supported, birth can feel less overwhelming, and far more empowering.

If you’re preparing for birth and would love to feel calm, confident and connected, I’d love to welcome you into an upcoming Peaceful Birthing class.

✨Move with your body✨

Labour was never designed to be still.

Your baby is working with you — rotating, descending and finding their way through your pelvis. And one of the most powerful ways you can support that process is through movement.

Swaying your hips.
Leaning forward.
Changing positions.
Being upright.
Listening to what your body is asking for.

These instinctive movements can help create space in the pelvis, support your baby’s position and allow gravity to work with you.

Birth doesn’t have to happen lying down. It’s rare that a birthing Mother will choose to be on her back, generally that’s more about ease for the care team.

When you understand your body, you can work with it, not against it 💕

✨How you feel during birth matters✨

You don’t need to eliminate every fear before birth.

But you can meet fear with knowledge.

When you understand what is happening in your body, know your options and practise tools that help you feel calm, the unknown can begin to feel less frightening.

The Hypnobirthing Australia Positive Birth Program helps you prepare for birth by combining education with intuitive wisdom.

You learn to:
✨ Understand your body and the birth process
✨ Use breathing, movement and relaxation tools to support yourself
✨ Understand hospital policies
✨ Communicate your preferences and ask informed questions
✨ Prepare your support team
✨ Release what you cannot control

Birth will always hold some uncertainty.

The goal is not to control every detail.

It is to feel prepared enough to lean into the unknown with confidence, trust and the ability to adapt.

Control what you can.
Trust what you know.
Release the rest.

✨What can Birth Education change?✨

Australia’s caesarean rate continues to rise.

The latest national AIHW data shows that 41% of Australian mothers gave birth by caesarean in 2023, compared with 29% in 2004.

**IMPORTANT***
Australia’s caesarean rate has risen substantially over the past two decades, without a corresponding improvement in national perinatal mortality rates.

The World Health Organisation has historically identified a population caesarean rate of around 10–15% as ideal.

So what does this mean?

Well, another way to look at this is what can we do differently. For example:

🍃Against this national picture, results collected at Bunbury Hospital are worth considering.
Over a one-year period, birth outcomes for parents who attended the Hypnobirthing Australia Positive Birth Program were compared with those who did not attend.

The attending group experienced:

👉52% less emergency caesareans
👉22% more spontaneous births

These findings do not mean Hypnobirthing guarantees a vaginal birth, or that caesareans are failures. Caesarean birth can be necessary, positive and lifesaving.

What they do suggest is that quality birth education and preparation may make a meaningful difference.

The Hypnobirthing Australia course gives parents knowledge of birth physiology, practical tools to reduce fear and increase confidence, help to understand their options, support in communicating with their caregivers and tools to remain calm and involved—even when birth takes an unexpected path.

Because a positive birth is not defined by one particular outcome.

It is about feeling informed, supported, respected and part of the decisions surrounding your birth.

📑Research notes: The Bunbury findings were collected within one hospital over a one-year period and were not a randomised national study. The reported percentages represent differences between attendees and non-attendees.

✨ Birth Affirmation ✨

Birth asks us to soften and surrender, while also calling on a strength many women have never experienced before.

Your body holds deep wisdom. Your baby knows the way. And within you is the ability to move through each wave, one breath at a time. 🤍

I am safe. I an strong

Come back to these words whenever fear or doubt arises.

Save this affirmation for your birth journey 🌿

I came into this work because I felt a deep, undeniable pull to share what I experienced in my own birth preparation.

I wanted every woman to feel that same sense of excitement…

That same calm confidence…

That deep trust in her body and the birth process.

Now, almost a decade on, that intention hasn’t faded — if anything, it’s grown stronger.

Each class, each couple, each birth story… it continues to light me up.

Because this isn’t just information.

It’s transformation.

And when you and your partner truly understand how birth works — physically, mentally, emotionally — everything shifts.

✨ Fear softens

✨ Confidence builds

✨ Connection deepens

If you’re ready to feel prepared, empowered, and supported…

I would love to guide you ❤️

✨Navigating Induction✨

Due dates ≠ deadlines.

It’s common to feel pressure to be induced as you approach or pass your due date. Hospitals are generally comfortable with pregnancies continuing to 40+10, and at 42 weeks the mother will likely feel very pressured to be induced.

But remember: a “due date” is an estimate — not an expiry date.

Important note - The average first time pregnancy lasts closer to 41+1 🧐

Ask questions. Understand the risks the hospital is trying to manage, and the risk of the intervention. Know your options.

By definition if you have an induction either your body and/or your baby aren’t ready. Women tend to experience induced births very differently to a spontaneous start.

If you choose or need an induction, that’s okay. But if you want to wait — that’s valid too. It’s all about informed decision making.

Knowledge of power 🙌🏻
