I'm having ovaries and fallopian tubes removed today.
Dermoid cyst found during scans 8 years ago keeps growing (benign!) so out she comes!
Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy - what a tongue twister 😂
I asked for a full hysterectomy to reduce the sneaky places cancer likes to grow. Considered unnecessary and big surgery so the public system won't do it.
The fear of another cancer is ever present but I'm somewhat consoled with the upcoming surgery.
Overnight in hospital, few weeks recovery.
I had hoped to have breasts before more lady parts removed, but can't have it all - can have a partial though 😂😭

After 7 years of chemo, double mastectomy, radiation, 3rd weekly Immunotherapy, I have been cleared and released from treatment. Surveillance scans for a couple of years
BUT IT'S DONE, I SURVIVED.
