Monday Housing Highlights!

This week, we are excited to showcase a brand-new non-SDA Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in beautiful Hindmarsh Island — a peaceful coastal setting ideal for someone seeking 24/7 supported accommodation away from the busyness of Adelaide.

While the photos don’t quite capture the warmth and charm of the home, this stunning property offers a relaxed lifestyle surrounded by waterways, nature, and a welcoming community.

We are currently seeking the home’s first participant. The ideal FIRST PARTICIPANT will have a 1:1 or 1:2 support ratio, however, we are also open to enquiries from individuals with a 1:3 SIL support ratio as a potential second participant.

About the Home

This spacious 3-bedroom + OOA property will be shared by a maximum of only two participants, allowing for greater privacy, comfort, and space. The remaining bedroom can be utilised as an additional lounge, quiet retreat, or breakout area.

Home Features:

• Master bedroom with walk-in robe and private ensuite
• Additional bedrooms with built-in robes
• Modern kitchen with walk-in pantry and quality appliances
• Light-filled open-plan living and dining area
• Private alfresco area to enjoy the fresh coastal surroundings
• Secure single garage with internal access
• Quiet location just a short stroll to the marina

A Coastal Lifestyle

One of the greatest features of this home is its location. Situated on picturesque Hindmarsh Island, residents can enjoy peaceful waterfront walks, the marina precinct, local cafés, and the relaxed atmosphere of island life.

The home is also just a short 10-minute drive from Victor Harbor, providing access to a variety of community and recreational activities, including Granite Island, the iconic Horse Drawn Tram, local cafés and shops, beaches, fishing spots, coastal walking trails, community markets, and seasonal whale watching.

Welcome back to Monday Housing Highlights!

This week, we’re excited to spotlight one of Livability Care Australia’s upcoming Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes located in Port Adelaide.

Expressions of Interest are now open for this brand-new SDA High Physical Support home, thoughtfully designed to provide both accessibility and comfort.

The home will feature:

• 2 participant bedrooms + OOA room
• Private ensuites
• 2 separate lounge/living areas
• Modern, accessible design throughout
• Fully furnished

Expected onboarding is anticipated from September 2026 onwards, with waitlist enquiries now being accepted.

So, we fundraised for a fundraiser...

Last Wednesday, in support of Santosh Adhikari and his participation in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, the team at Livability Care Australia came together for a small internal fundraiser walkathon around Mawson Lakes — and yes, it was raining that day. 🌧️😂

The walkathon was our way of helping raise awareness and funds for Australians experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. Every donation made during the fundraiser was generously matched by Livability Care Australia, while morning tea was kindly provided by Santosh himself.

A huge thank you to all our amazing team members who generously donated to, and joined us on the walkathon!

There’s still time before the sleepout on June 18, and if anyone would like to support a truly important cause, any contribution — big or small — would be greatly appreciated.
