I used to stand in front of the fridge and just freeze. Not because I wasn’t hungry. Because my brain literally could not handle one more decision.
What to cook. What to wear. What to tackle first. Every tiny choice felt enormous.

For six years I blamed myself. Thought I was lazy. Undisciplined.
I wasn’t. And if this is you, you’re not either.

When your nervous system has been stuck in survival mode for months or years, your prefrontal cortex, the part of your brain that handles planning and decisions, literally goes offline. Every simple decision feels enormous because the part of your brain that makes them isn’t getting enough fuel.

That’s why you can’t stick to the meal plans and the walks. It’s not motivation. It’s capacity.

Here’s the order that actually works, from an FNTP who lived it:

1. Nervous system first > before any food change, spend 2 mins doing 4-7-8 breathing (inhale 4, hold 7, exhale 8) > shifts you out of fight-or-flight so your brain has room to think straight

2. Plate up simple > 25-30g protein within 20 mins of waking + veggies before carbs > stabilises the blood sugar crashes that fire adrenaline and mimic anxiety

3. Spot your patterns > keep a 7-day food and mood journal > reveals which foods and skipped meals line up with your worst fog days

4. Movement that gives back > a 10-min walk after your biggest meal, not a punishing gym session > muscles soak up glucose without insulin, flattening the crash

5. One low-tox swap a week > swap your biggest chemical exposure first (usually laundry powder or dish soap) > reduces the daily toxic load your liver is processing
Most women try to fix all five at once and last about a week. Do them in order, one a month, and they stick.
You’re not building habits wrong. You’re building a house before you’ve poured the slab. Create capacity first.
I put together a free Blueprint that walks through the root causes of anxiety and brain fog most women never get checked.

To look back at the hardest years and say “none of them were setbacks, they were meant for me.”

That’s not toxic positivity. That’s six years of anxiety, brain fog and postnatal depression talking.

I sat in the sandpit with my kids, tears streaming, thinking “Is this it?” I lost my real estate license. I tried SSRIs that made everything worse. I was a fragment of myself.

Now I’m a practitioner and I get to show women the way out. But the way out isn’t what I thought.

The reason you can’t stick to nourishing meals, walks, journaling isn’t motivation. It’s capacity. Here’s the order that actually works:

Nervous system first - 2 mins of 4-7-8 breathing (inhale 4, hold 7, exhale 8) before any food change. Shifts you out of fight-or-flight so your brain can think straight.

Plate up simple - 25-30g protein within 20 mins of waking + veggies before carbs. Stabilises blood sugar crashes that fire adrenaline and mimic anxiety.

Spot your patterns - 7-day food and mood journal. Reveals which foods and stress spikes line up with your worst fog days.

Movement that gives back - 10-min walk after your biggest meal. Muscles soak up glucose without insulin, flattening the crash.

One low-tox swap a week - start with laundry powder or dish soap. Reduces the daily toxic load your liver is processing.

Most women try all five at once and last a week. Do them in order, one a month, and they stick.

I put together a free Blueprint that walks through this pathway.

I spent six years thinking something was wrong with me because I couldn’t fix my own anxiety and brain fog.

I knew what I should be doing. I just couldn’t do it consistently. And every time I fell off, I blamed myself harder.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me: it’s rarely just “in your head.” It’s often in your blood sugar, your gut, and your minerals. Five root causes most women never get checked:

Blood sugar dysregulation - 25-30g protein within 20 mins of waking, veggies before carbs. Every glucose crash fires adrenaline + cortisol that feels EXACTLY like a panic attack.

Methylation (MTHFR) - swap folic acid for methylfolate + methyl-B12. Without it your body can’t make enough GABA, your brain’s calming brake.

Low magnesium - 300-400mg magnesium glycinate at night. Activates GABA receptors (same target as anti-anxiety meds). Deficiency rarely shows on blood tests.

Food sensitivities - 2-week elimination of your top trigger (often gluten/dairy).

Hidden gut inflammation travels the gut-brain axis and disrupts mood chemistry.
Low omega-3s - 2g EPA/DHA daily with food. Lowers inflammatory markers (IL-6, TNF-a, CRP) linked to anxiety.
Most women are told it’s stress and handed a script. Often it’s five fixable things nobody checked.

Here’s the catch: it takes a functioning brain to source supplements, run an elimination diet, and stay consistent.

That’s exactly what an overwhelmed nervous system can’t do.
I put together a free Blueprint that walks through all of this.

I used to think if something was simple and took three seconds, it couldn't possibly be powerful enough to support my body and health.

I'd spent six years doing the hard stuff. Restrictive diets. Supplement protocols with twenty different bottles. Genetic testing. Integrative doctors. The GAPS protocol, which is not for the faint hearted. Meditation apps. Detoxes. Coffee enemas.
I was doing ALL of it and still felt like a fragment of my former self.

So when someone shared something that took three seconds a day, I almost dismissed it. How could something that simple work when all the complicated stuff hadn't?

But I was exhausted. I was out of options. And my husband was getting results with it for his back pain, so I thought, what have I got to lose?
Here's what I learned that changed my mind completely.

The technology uses phototherapy. There's a lattice-like structure in the patch that reflects specific wavelengths of infrared light back into your body. That reflected light stimulates your body's own healing peptides, specifically GHK-Cu, and helps rebalance your nervous system.

It's passive. Zero mental load. You wear it for 12 hours, it works while you sleep, while you work, while you mum. No supplement to source, no dosing to remember, no protocol to follow.

It doesn't replace good nutrition or sleep. What it does is create enough capacity that you can actually DO those things consistently. That was the piece I'd been missing for six years.

I was trying to build a house without pouring the concrete slab. No wonder everything kept falling over.

Within days I was sleeping deeper. Within weeks my mind felt clearer. By six months the anxiety had lifted and I said to my husband, "So this is how normal people feel."

If you're tired of complicated protocols and white knuckling, I put together a free Blueprint that explains how this works and the pathway that helped me come back home in my body.
