Meet Your Guide: Venerable Dr. Narongchai Thanajayo

We are incredibly honored to host Venerable Dr. Narongchai Thanajayo, the Abbot of iMONASTERY (International Forest Monastery) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and the Chief of the Monk Life Project.
His journey is as inspiring as it is deeply relatable. Before ordaining as a monk in 2007, he spent nearly a decade in the United States building a successful international career in technology, and later served at the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels.

Holding postgraduate degrees in Computer Information Systems, Religion and Development, as well as a Ph.D. in Peace Studies, he beautifully bridges the gap between the busy, modern world and ancient spiritual wisdom.

Under his compassionate guidance, iMONASTERY has blossomed into an international sanctuary for people from all walks of life. He has dedicated his life to sharing Buddhist wisdom, guided by a simple yet profound vision: "To make the world a better place through the attainment of inner peace."
