A few weeks ago, and I operated on a wonderful patient with severe endometriosis after previous IVF treatment had been unsuccessful.
The disease had significantly distorted her anatomy, affecting the function of her fallopian tube and reducing her chances of conceiving naturally. Through surgery, we were able to remove the endometriosis, restore normal anatomy, and see the tube functioning again.
Moments like these are a reminder that fertility treatment is not just IVF.
Sometimes, treating the underlying disease and restoring anatomy can create opportunities that werenāt there before.
For us, creating a life is creating a life, whether that happens through IVF or naturally. Weāre equally excited, equally invested and incredibly grateful to play a small part in these journeys.
Itās a privilege to do this work, and weāre looking forward to seeing what happens next.
