POST-BARIATRIC SURGERY PARTICIPANTS WANTED
What is your experience of psychosocial care before and after bariatric surgery?
This research project aims to better understand how post-bariatric surgery patients have experienced psychosocial care. Psychosocial care includes a broad range of treatments and support services, such as information-sharing, psychological therapies (such as counselling or group therapy), dietary and lifestyle behavioural interventions (such as nutrition and exercise groups) and support groups (in-person and online). By obtaining your insights and recommendations, we hope to improve systems of care and outcomes for patients before and after surgery.
We are recruiting post-bariatric surgery patients aged 18 years or older, residing in Australia, who are willing to complete a short online demographic survey (5-10 minutes) and participate in a 1 hour interview via Zoom or over the phone. Participants will be reimbursed for their time.
The study is being conducted by Ms Cindy Zhou (Student Researcher) under the supervision of Ms Annemarie Hindle (Principal Investigator and Clinical Psychologist who works with people who have had or are considering having bariatric surgery) in collaboration with Australian Catholic University.
If you are interested in participating, please access the link https://redcap.link/bariatriccare or scan the QR code in the attached poster. If you require further information, feel free to email Cindy at [email protected].
Thank you for considering our research. Feel free to ‘share’ this post to help us in reaching post-bariatric surgery patients.
