October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month ♥️

A month that holds a very special place in my heart, as a mother who knows the heartbreak of losing a baby.

When we lost our beautiful Frankie, I was reminded that motherhood isn’t defined by whether we get to bring our babies home.

I carried him, I birthed him, and I will love him for the rest of my life. I am, and always will be, his mum. 🤍

Frankie is one of the reasons I started LVE Physio and why offering home visits is so important to me. After losing him, the thought of sitting in a clinic surrounded by pregnant women and babies felt overwhelming so I went without the postpartum care I desperately needed. I wanted to create a service where women could feel safe, supported and cared for, wherever they feel most comfortable, where that is at home or in a clinic.

To every mother navigating pregnancy or infant loss, your baby matters, your motherhood matters, and your postpartum recovery matters too.

Sending love to every family missing their precious baby this October, and always. 🤍

25th October might not be Say Their Name Day… but I’ve decided we’re having one anyway! 🤍

When you’re juggling motherhood, running a business, professional development, navigating grief, trying to raise awareness for causes incredibly close to your heart AND desperately needing a holiday… 🫠

I spent time filming and editing a reel for Say Their Name Day. It had been on my mind all week, only to realise we’re in OCTOBER, not MARCH! 🤦🏻‍♀️

But I’ve decided to share my reel anyway, because we don’t need a particular day to remember, honour and say the names of our beautiful babies. 🤍

I absolutely love when people say Frankie’s name and talk about him. It’s a beautiful reminder that he matters, that he is remembered and that he will never be forgotten. 💙

So, whether it’s March, October or any other day of the year, I’d love to create a little space here to remember our babies together.

If there is a baby or family you are thinking of today, please feel welcome to share their name in the comments. I would be honoured to say their name with you. 🤍

And to the precious babies who were unable to be named, you are no less important, loved or worthy of remembrance. 🤍

A heartfelt thank you to Red Nose Australia for creating Say Their Name Day and encouraging families and communities to speak the names of our precious babies, honour their lives and keep their memories alive. 🤍

HOME VISIT DIARIES 🤍

A little glimpse into some of LVE Physio’s recent home visits across Melbourne ☀️

Attending a clinic isn’t always easy, whether you’re recovering from pregnancy or birth, navigating life with a newborn, or experiencing pregnancy loss, baby loss or fertility challenges, where a clinic environment can feel emotionally overwhelming or triggering.

Home visits are an important part of LVE Physio, allowing personalised women’s health physiotherapy care in the comfort and privacy of your own home🤍

3 Weeks Postpartum 🤍

Shoulder and back pain management of a grieving mum with gentle core rehabilitation to support postpartum recovery.

4 Weeks Postpartum 🤍

12 Weeks Postpartum 🤍

A little reminder that good things often take time 🦋

We waited in the butterfly house for ages, hoping one would land on my daughters.

Eventually, it did and then on my face too🦋

It made me think about how often we want things to happen immediately—healing after birth, recovering from pelvic floor symptoms, rebuilding strength, returning to exercise, navigating fertility or finding our way through grief.

Losing my mum & Frankie has taught me that healing and recovery are rarely instant. Progress can take time, patience and the right support.

Sometimes the most meaningful changes happen when we slow down, listen to our bodies and give them the time they need 🤍

Thoughts to those of us who have lost our mums, mums who have lost their babies, and those who long to be mums 🤍

Mother’s Day can feel complex and challenging for so many beautiful people in my life. Sending extra love, gentleness, and support today — however this day feels for you. 🤍

The Knack 🌸🤧

Feel weak or leak during cough or sneeze?

Try reactivating your pelvic floor muscles to counteract the downward pressure caused by a cough or sneeze.

This can improve pelvic support & reduce likelihood of leakage.

If you are unsure how to activate your pelvic floor muscles correctly or experience leakage or weakness with cough or sneezing (laughing or exercise), please reach out 🌸
