Two days, two panels and many valuable conversations.
The 2026 National Disability Summit brought together important conversations about the future of our sector - quality, sustainability, the role of carers, and how we continue improving outcomes for people with disability as the NDIS evolves.
For Care Fast, it was a valuable opportunity to contribute from both a provider and carer perspective.
Mehul Shah shared our practical approach to Home & Living - starting with the person and bringing together the right home, support model, risk planning, funding and transition to create sustainable long-term outcomes.
Pieta Manning brought an important carer perspective, highlighting the increasing pressures on families and the need to think more broadly about shared community care, so responsibility for supporting vulnerable people does not fall so heavily on families alone.
