It has been a true privilege for us to care for Matthew Charlie and to walk alongside the Charlie family during such a personal and tender time.

Throughout this journey, we witnessed the love surrounding Matthew in so many ways, through the memories shared, the messages written for him, and the way his family came together to honour his life.

To Denise, Kstanoe your family, Bianni, the boys, and the entire Charlie family, thank you for trusting us with someone so deeply loved. We are incredibly grateful for the openness, kindness and trust you showed us throughout every step.

Matthew was a much loved son, husband, father, grandfather, nephew, cousin and friend, and it was clear just how much he meant to so many people.

We pray that in the days ahead, the Charlie family finds comfort in one another, strength through the love that surrounds them, and peace in all the beautiful memories they shared with Matthew.

Today, we gather with heavy hearts to honour and celebrate the life of Matthew Marama Hosking Charlie. 🤍

Matthew was a deeply loved son, devoted husband to Denise, cherished father, and proud grandfather. His life was woven into the hearts of the people who loved him most, and the memories, laughter and love he shared will continue to be carried by his family always.

Today we especially hold Denise, Matthew’s sons, his grandchildren, and all of his family and friends close in our thoughts and prayers. May they feel surrounded by comfort, strength and the love of everyone who has been touched by Matthew’s life.

It is a privilege for Tanoa Aiga Funeral Services to walk alongside the Charlie family as they farewell Matthew with the love, dignity and care he deserves.
