You are allowed to come back to yourself. 🩷

Sometimes we don’t even notice how far away from ourselves we’ve wandered.

We become busy caring for everyone else.
Managing the practical things.
Holding things together.
Thinking about what everybody else needs.

And somewhere amongst all of that, we stop asking:

What do I need?
How am I feeling?
What would make me feel more like me again?

Coming back to yourself doesn’t mean abandoning the people you love or changing your entire life.

Sometimes it begins much more quietly.

A walk.
Ten minutes alone.
Writing in your journal.
Saying no when you mean no.
Doing something simply because it brings you joy.

Maybe today you don’t need to become a better version of yourself.

Maybe you just need to come back to you.

Save this for the days you realise you’ve wandered a little too far from yourself. 🩷

She lets go.

And no stage of her becoming is any less beautiful than the one before it.

Perhaps this season isn’t asking you to bloom more brightly.

Perhaps it’s asking you to soften, to change form or to release what you’ve outgrown.

You haven’t lost your magic.

You’re simply becoming in a new way. 🤍

Yesterday we gathered for our Spring Soul Spa — Bloom Where You Are. 🌸

There was reflection, laughter, quiet moments, deep healing and plenty of space to simply notice what is happening in the gardens of our own lives.

What is flourishing?
What has become overgrown?
What are we still watering that perhaps no longer needs our energy?
And what is already quietly beginning to bloom?

I loved watching each woman find her own meaning in the afternoon.

There is something very special about creating a space where nobody needs to perform, fix themselves or have all the answers.

Sometimes we just need somewhere safe enough to listen.

Thank you to the beautiful women who shared the afternoon with me. 🩷

And just like that… Spring Soul Spa is complete.

I thought I was just packing up a kitchen.

Turns out, I’m packing away an entire chapter of our lives.

We are finally renovating the kitchen—something I have wanted almost from the moment we moved in.

Jay, being a builder, is practically itching to rip it all out and get started.

And me?

I’ve been unusually quiet.

Packing things into boxes marked keep, store and give away, listening to music… and finding myself thinking about everything this kitchen has held.

All the birthday candles blown out over this bench.

The parties we’ve hosted.
The dinners we’ve made.
The countless sausage rolls, cakes and cookies that have come out of this oven.

The girls sitting at the kitchen bench eating breakfast while I made their school lunches.

The problems we’ve solved here.

The tears that have been shed—and the tears that have been wiped away.

The truth is, so much of my motherhood played out in this kitchen.

And then Jay and I both stopped in our tracks when we reached the height chart inside the pantry.

There they all were.

Tiny lines, names and dates—years of our girls growing up, quietly recorded on a pantry wall while the rest of life rushed by around us.

That’s not just scribble on a wall.

That’s our history.

It feels silly to admit that I’m sad when I’m also so bloody excited to finally be getting a beautiful new kitchen.

But I suppose two things can be true at once.

I can be ready for something new while still feeling tender about what is ending.

I can celebrate the next chapter while honouring the one that happened here.

So before the demolition begins, I’m taking a moment to thank this old kitchen.

I may not have always loved the cupboards or the benchtops…

But my goodness, I loved the life we lived inside it. 🩷
