📣 MODEL SEARCH | Cavalor Content Shoot, Geelong VIC

Cavalor is coming to the Geelong region, and we’re looking for three horse people to feature in an international content campaign running across Australia, the USA and the UK.

📅 Week of 12 October (ideally Tuesday 13 October)
📍 Geelong area, VIC

We’re casting three roles:

1️.The Industry Professional: a vet, vet nurse, equine nutritionist or similar expert who lives and breathes horse health.

2️.The Professional Rider: competing at a professional level in dressage, showjumping or eventing.

3️.The Pleasure Rider: someone who rides for the pure love of it, whether that’s trail rides, weekend lessons or quiet time in the paddock.

What we’re looking for:
✨ Big, genuine personalities and plenty of charisma
🎥 Confidence on camera, including speaking to camera for video
🐎 Horses that are quiet, calm and easy to handle on set

This is a chance to share your story with a global audience alongside one of the world’s leading equine nutrition brands.

Do you know the signs of gastric discomfort in your horse?

Often subtle and hard to detect, signs of gastric discomfort in horses can include:

- Gradual weight loss, and poor appetite

- Changes in behaviour following transport, competition, or other high stress environments

- Increased sensitivity, especially around the girth/stomach area

There are many signs and symptoms your horse may display if they are experiencing gastric discomfort, and it is very important to recognise what these signs, and changes of behaviour may look like in your own horse.

Every horse is different - which is why it it’s important to know what your horses’s ’normal’ looks like, and how that may change during periods of increased training, competition and transport.

Good health starts in the gut.

Your horse’s hindgut is home to a community of microbes that ferment feed into nutrients and form a first line of defence against harmful bacteria. Nutrition and immunity, from the same place.

That balance is easily upset: a large starch meal, a stressful stretch or a course of antibiotics can all throw the microbial population off, leaving your horse more vulnerable to illness.

Most of what helps is simple. Feed plenty of fibre across several small meals a day, avoid sudden changes to the diet, choose feeds with safer, more digestible starch sources, and use pre- and probiotics to support the microbes - probiotics such as yeast help steady digestive upsets, while prebiotics
feed the microbes themselves. A useful benchmark is at least 1.5% of bodyweight in forage each day.

If you notice loose droppings, weight loss or a dull coat, speak with your vet first.

Once a year, Cavalor Equicare team members hop on a plane and embark on a journey to Belgium, the home base of Cavalor.

The Cavalor Distributor Meeting is held over three days and features presentations by the vets, nutritionists and scientists who research, experiment, build and develop the Cavalor range. This year covered everything from equine gut health, to why the highest level of joint protection isn’t always the right one for a horse in light work.

It’s part of a bigger habit: Cavalor formulas are developed alongside university research - including a seven-year joint-health study with Ghent University throughout the development of the product ArtiTec .

Education, knowledge and research is at the forefront of the Cavalor brand, and we’ll be passing on more of what we learnt over the next few weeks.

Behind a Group 1 win is a programme that began months out.

Spicy Martini, ridden by Taylor Marshall, took out the 2026 Ladbrokes Stradbroke Handicap (Group 1) at Eagle Farm, and has since been named Queensland Horse of the Year.

An $8,000 purchase for trainer Toby Edmonds, and a maiden Group 1 at just the 12th start.

Three Cavalor supplements were part of the preparation:
