A small giveaway to those brothers out there going though tough times.

How to use the Emotion Wheel
The emotion wheel is a tool that enables people to describe and verbalize their emotions, as well as understand the relationship between and intensity of their feelings. The ability to articulate and identify emotions is an important component of emotional intelligence.
People can use the wheel to identify their emotions and come to terms to how they are feeling, make informed decisions, seek resolution, gain closure, and, ultimately, become more self-aware and self-compassionate.

Instructions:
Using intellectual language — words that are not connected to your direct experience — can distance you from your emotions and make it more difficult to know what you are truly feeling.

To avoid this, try using simpler, more self-expressive words (emotional language) to explain what you feel. The circle provides some more emotional words you can say in place of intellectual ones.

FEELING THE THING: When a feeling starts to arise, look at the wheel.

GET TO THE CORE FEELING FIRST: Start with the inner-most wheel and move outward, moving from the core feelings toward any associated feelings that might be coming up for you.

HOW DO YOU FEEL? If a core emotion is not clear, you can move from the outside in, identifying the associated feeling first and then making your way toward the core emotion. Don’t necessarily “hunt” for the right word. Rather, as you look, notice which words resonate with you.

COMPARE FEELINGS: Another way to use the chart is to compare how you’re feeling today with how you felt earlier today or even yesterday. For example:

“I’m feeling _________ today, but yesterday I felt _______ and ________. “

Typically you might find that two or even four different emotions apply.

Why use the Emotion Wheel?
• For making clear profound & predictable life changing decisions based on your purpose and vision
• For better communication & resonating your message
• For development of one's emotional intelligence
• For Certainty
• For Predictability
• For solid choice
• For that greater feeling of comfort, safety and absolute control
• To deliver a compassionate message with high empathy
• To love and respect thyself
• To build nourish and care for those important lasting relationships
• Gain more clarity and decision to better understand your own personal thoughts or decision making

Contexts in which people use the Emotion Wheel:
The wheel can also be helpful to use when attempting to explain your emotions to other people, such as in therapy. The ability to put a name to what we are feeling can give individuals a greater sense of control and help them develop a plan for moving forward and coping.
Many organizations use the wheel or variations of it to facilitate teamwork and encourage members and employees to establish common ground, understand each other’s perspectives, and further develop their own self-awareness. This can lead to better working relationships, as well as improve individual skills. After all, leaders and employees alike need to have strong emotional intelligence to perform their jobs well.
