💥 HIP PAIN 💥 ?
This ones for you!
LATERAL HIP REHAB PROGRESSIONS 🔥⬇️
Here Physio Min Bae shows a few exercise progressions that we like to use to gradually load the lateral (outer) hip. Start with the variation that feels appropriate for your current capacity, and progress the range of motion, resistance, or time as your strength and control improve.
*1. Wall Ball Isometric Push - 2 x10secs*
Push your outside knee into the ball and hold. This is a simple way to begin loading the lateral hip with minimal movement
*2. Modified Clam Shell - 2x12*
This is a great exercise to load the bottom hip. Drive the bottom knee down into the ground and push the hips up and forward.
*3. Side Plank With Leg Lifts *
Hold a strong side plank while lifting the top leg up & down. This challenges the lateral hip while also developing trunk & pelvic stability.
*4. Bench Side Bends - 2x12 *
Lower your hip toward the floor and drive up to return to the starting position. An excellent way of not only challenging the lateral hip but loading the trunk muscles through range
As always we recommend getting your individual problem assessed so the most appropriate treatment plan can be put in place!
