30g of fibre, for the win 🏆

✅️No supplements. ✅️No complicated food rules...Just everyday foods doing their thing.

Ps..for the non-nut eaters - for a fibre swap change almonds to 1/2 cup raspberries 🍓

End of 2024, I genuinely thought my running and basketball days were behind me.

Fast forward....

It's been a journey of rebuilding strength, confidence and learning to trust my body again.

And as a nutritionist, it's been another reminder that food isn't just about how we look. It's about what our bodies are capable of doing 💯

Fuel to recover. Fuel to rebuild. Fuel to perform.

And enough food to support the life we actually want to live 💅

Still a work in progress, but aren't we all? 🫶

Nutrition doesn’t need to be complicated.....🤝

🍌 Breakfast: oats + yoghurt + banana + chia
🥪 Lunch: chicken salad wrap + fruit
🍚 Dinner: sticky pork + rice + greens

Carbs. Protein. Fats. Fibre. Food you actually enjoy.

Simple enough to repeat > complicated for no reason ✨

Next thing you know I've...

✔️ Read 42 research papers
✔️ Cross-checked the evidence
✔️ Built a spreadsheet
✔️ Calculated the nutrient profiles
✔️ Fact-checked the myths
✔️ Tested it myself
✔️ Organised it into colour-coded folders... for fun... 🤣

Being a Virgo means I love the details.
Being a nutritionist means those details actually matter.

So if someone says something like, "YoUr BoDy cAn oNly DiGeSt nAtuRal INgrEdiEnTs," my first thought is: I'll happily follow the evidence wherever it leads...
.not the loudest opinions on social media. 😉

Anyone else a Virgo who takes "you're wrong" as a personal research project? 😂

POV: you came for a grocery haul and I didn’t buy 47 “high protein” products 👀🛒

My grocery haul as a nutritionist:

🥖 Carbs that are just carbs
🍫 Chocolate that doesn’t need a wellness claim
🥩 Protein from actual food
🥑 Fats without fearing them
🍓 Fruit because I like it
🥦 Veg because
🍪 Snacks chosen purely because they slap

No “good” foods.
No “bad” foods.
No earning your snacks.

Just groceries… doing grocery things 😂

Us millennials were once..

…running on a dream and the belief breakfast was optional.

Now I'm a nutritionist talking about energy regulation on the internet 😂😬

But here's the thing 👇

Your morning food habits can have a pretty big flow-on effect.

☕ Coffee replacing food
⏰ Long gaps before eating
🥣 A breakfast that doesn't quite meet your energy needs

…can all influence hunger, concentration and how food-focused you feel later in the day.

This isn't me telling you to join the 5am club, drink lemon water (please dont) and have a 12-step morning routine 😮‍💨

It's about giving your body enough energy to work with.

More often than not, that 3pm "hanger" is your body asking where breakfast went 👀

How are we starting our mornings these days, millennials? 👇🙃

1️⃣ Add before you subtract

Think protein, fibre, colour + foods you actually enjoy rather than another list of foods to cut out 💅

2️⃣ Stop “earning” your food

You don’t need to train harder, skip meals or “make up for” what you ate.

3️⃣ Ditch the all-or-nothing mindset

A meal doesn’t need to be “perfect” to be nutritious. Some meals will be more balanced than others and that’s completely normal 💯

Diet-free living isn’t about caring less about nutrition...
.it’s really learning to eat well without food rules running the show 🤍

Happy feasting always

Apparently some meals are “lunch foods” and others are “dinner foods”…

Your body: respectfully, I do not care 😂

One of the easiest ways to make eating well feel less complicated is to stop putting meals into such rigid little time slots.

A balanced meal at midday can also work perfectly well at 6pm. And last night’s dinner? Completely acceptable lunch behaviour the next day.

What matters more is whether your meal is actually doing its job...
.giving you enough energy, protein, carbs, fats, fibre and overall satisfaction to carry you through the next part of your day.

Having a handful of easy meals that can swing between lunch and dinner can also mean:

✨ less decision fatigue
✨ easier meal prep
✨ more flexibility when life gets busy
✨ fewer “there’s nothing to eat” moments while staring directly into a fridge containing food

Eating well doesn’t need a complicated roster.

Here are 5 meals currently on rotation 👆

If learning to bake has taught me anything, it's this...

You can't expect a loaf to rise if you leave out half the ingredients 🍞💯

Your body works much the same way.

Trying to function on...

❌️ minimal food,
❌️ cutting out entire food groups,
❌️or chasing the latest health trend is a bit like expecting bread to magically appear from flour alone.

Your body needs the full recipe....

🥖 Carbohydrates for energy
🥚 Protein for repair and recovery
🫒 Healthy fats for hormones and brain health
🥝 Fibre, Vitamins and minerals to keep everything running as it should 👀

Nutrition shouldn't be about finding the "secret ingredient" it's honestly just getting the basics that work for your body, right...
..consistently.

And yes... sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is enjoy a slice of fresh sourdough while it's still warm 🤪

Happy feasting always.

The wellness industry will happily convince you that better health is one expensive purchase away.

In reality?

Some of the best nutrition investments are the ones that make eating well easier, not more complicated.

💰 Frozen fruit and vegetables = less waste, same great nutrition.
💰 Protein-rich staples = meals that keep you fuller for longer.
💰 A sharp chef's knife = less prep frustration, more home-cooked meals.
💰 A good insulated lunch bag = balanced meals are much easier when they're already with you. 💰 A quality extra virgin olive oil = one of the most evidence-backed pantry staples for heart health.

And if I could add one more…
🧠 Evidence-based support 🤓

Not another quick fix ❌️

Support that looks at your health, lifestyle, training, preferences and goals, then helps you build habits that actually last.

Sometimes the best investment isn't another product.

It's learning how to nourish your body with confidence.

👇 What nutrition purchase has genuinely been worth every dollar for you?
