💻 Ergonomic Desk Setup Matters!

As OTs, we spend hours writing reports, completing documentation, and supporting clients online — but how often do we check in on our own setup?

An ergonomic workspace supports your body’s natural posture, reduces fatigue, and helps prevent long-term pain or injury (hello, neck and shoulder tension 👋).

Here are some quick tips for an OT-friendly desk setup:

✨ Screen height: Top of your monitor should be at or just below eye level.
✨ Chair: Adjust so your feet are flat on the floor (or a footrest) and knees at 90°.
✨ Keyboard & mouse: Keep elbows close to your body and wrists neutral.
✨ Breaks: Move every 30–60 minutes — stretch, walk, breathe!

Remember: we teach good ergonomics every day — let’s practice what we preach! 💪

Meg has immediate capacity to support participants in the Hobart Region. NDIS and private participants.

Meg has a range of experience working across paediatric, youth and adult settings, supporting individuals with psychosocial and or neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Meg offers support in the home, community and school, as well as Telehealth sessions.

Work ranges from:
- Assessments
- OT Reports
- Ongoing intervention

I.e self care, daily living skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, social participation, confidence building, connection to community, school and family support, motivation, vocational skill building, support worker training and skill development
