Such a wonderful day across our Melbourne C*D and Geelong offices 💛

More than 70 clients and team members joined us for morning tea, kicking off our local office open houses happening across Victoria over the next couple of weeks.

It gave us a chance to say thank you in person to our brilliant assistants, and recognise clients and team members celebrating 5 and 10 years with InLife 🏅

There’s something really lovely about getting everyone together outside the usual day-to-day, having a cuppa and simply catching up ☕️

A big thank you to our Community Partners Go Salary and Beyond Bank for helping us put these events on, and to everyone who came along today.

That’s a wrap on our 2026 FIDA - Football Integration Development Association Tackle Free Carnival season 💛🏆

From kicking things off in Williamstown to finishing up in Cranbourne, we joined FIDA for five Tackle Free Carnivals across Victoria. Along the way, 25 InLife volunteers gave around 125 hours of their time to support the players, clubs and carnival community.

A special thank you to Matthew Jackson, John and Logan from FIDA for another great season and everything they do behind the scenes to make the carnivals happen.

And a big thank you to Kookaburra for setting us up with the footies this season 🏉

To every InLife volunteer who gave their time across the year, thank you for getting involved and helping make each carnival such a great day to be part of.

It’s been a terrific season to share with the FIDA community 💛

Lachie's life has changed a lot over the past couple of years 💛

He's moved from home in Benalla, to hospital in Melbourne and now into a new home in Bendigo. Along the way, his mobility, fatigue and daily routines have all shifted.

But through every move, one thing stayed constant: the people around him understood how he communicates, what helps him feel settled, and the routines that matter to him.

Lachie's now settling into his new home, building a local allied health team, and finding his rhythm. He's holding utensils again, opening his own drink bottle, listening to music and enjoying his days.

For years, shared living made everyday life difficult for David. It became clear he needed a different kind of environment to really thrive 🏠

After years of evidence and planning, the NDIS approved David to move into his own robust home, just a short walk from his family.

He moved in earlier this year, and the change has been remarkable. He's calmer, happier and more independent.

David's story is a great reminder of what's possible when someone gets the right environment and the right support.

When Joanne had to leave her DFFH unit in Benalla, our team quickly got to work finding her a new home in Shepparton 🏠

The move was a big change. New town, new coordinator, new routines. But now Joanne (and dog Charlie) has settled into their new SDA villa. It's accessible, easy to live in, and close to a friendly neighbour she can now share supports with.

"It was stressful," Joanne said, "but all the InLife girls worked really hard to make it as less stressful and easy as possible."

On moving day, Joanne went out for coffee with a friend while her team packed up her home. At the other end, three support staff had her villa completely unpacked and set up before she arrived.

"I didn't have to do anything," she said.

The 2026 Census – Australia is happening on Tuesday 11 August 📅

Everyone in Australia on Census night needs to be included. You can also complete the Census earlier once you receive your instructions, provided you know where you’ll be staying that night.

Everyone completes the same Census. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) provides accessible formats and support so people can take part in the way that works best for them ♿

You can also ask someone you trust to help 🤝

Census information is kept confidential 🔒 The ABS doesn’t share information from your form that could identify you or someone in your household with other government departments.

If you receive support from InLife, you can talk with your coordinator or support team about what would work best for you 💬

If you’re an assistant working overnight and you go home when your shift ends, you should be included at your usual home and not as a visitor at the client’s home.

Happy birthday Sunshine! 🌞🥳

Today we're celebrating our Sunshine office's second birthday.

It's been wonderful to see our clients and assistants grow together over the past two years. A special thanks to our client Neil, a talented chef who helped cater the celebration and baked us some delicious cookies 🍪

Here's to another great year, Sunshine team! 🎉

Changing support providers can feel like a big step, especially when the change isn’t your choice.

For Timothy, his housemates and their families, it was the first time they’d had a real say in choosing the provider supporting their home.

They looked for people they clicked with. A team that would listen, communicate openly and work in partnership with everyone involved.

When exploring a new support provider, take your time, ask questions and look for a team that feels right for you.

Read Timothy’s story about changing support providers 📰

Finding the right provider for shared housing can be challenging but it’s about finding the right fit and knowing you can make a change.
