The medicine introduced us all long before we met.

Last night, after six months of study online, I finally got to meet my teachers, classmates & previous graduates of Ann Cecil Sterman’s Classical Acupuncture Mentorship.

This medicine brings together the most extraordinary, generous, caring & kind humans. And the network extends around the globe.

I can’t wait to meet more of the community in the future.

According to the Dao when we move in harmony with nature the right people appear at exactly the right time… that’s alignment.

Sending LOVE
Melanie ❤️

Dietary therapy is one of the pillars of Chinese Medicine. Food isn’t just fuel; it’s one of the ways we nourish & care for ourselves every day.

Black sesame has been used in Chinese Medicine for centuries to nourish the Kidneys, support Kidney Essence and Blood, & is traditionally associated with healthy hair, vitality, & healthy ageing. It’s also naturally rich in healthy fats & minerals, including copper, iron, & zinc, making it a beautiful whole food to include as part of a balanced diet.

I keep seeing Black sesame paste online for hair growth & to prevent grey hair, & I had to make my own. Next time, I might add some goji berries or white sesame seeds.

One Ball a day is recommended for about 6 months. Good things cannot be rushed.

Is this something you would try?

Radiance isn’t something we apply. It’s something we cultivate.

Cosmetic Acupuncture is real Chinese Medicine! It’s not a trend. It’s looks deep into the individual. If you’re new to Chinese Medicine or Cosmetic Acupuncture here are some of the elements we look at when assessing your skin.

The Dao is often translated as “The Way”

Yet the true Way cannot be fully named.
It is real, yet not fixed.
Felt more than explained.

This is the way of Classical healing.

There is no universal formula for illness because no two people experience life, or healing, in the same way. The individual is treated according to their symptoms, lifestyle, lived experience, spirit, heart, & soul.

Healing is not about forcing the body into a formula.
It’s about listening deeply enough to understand what this person, in this moment, truly needs.

In a world seeking certainty, labels & quick fixes, this approach can seem unfamiliar.

But the Dao was never rigid.
And perhaps healing way never meant to be either.

The face I make when I hear women over 40 shouldn’t be on social media.

One of the best things about getting older is realising that whoever made up these “rules” doesn’t matter. We get to make our own.

As a woman embracing this next chapter, I love supporting others through it.

5 things I’ll keep sharing about perimenopause:
•Perimenopause is a transition, not a pathology.
•Resistance to change often has more impact on symptoms than hormone levels alone.
•Symptoms are signs of a pattern, not failure.
•Nourishment beats restriction. Your body needs fuel and stability, not another cleanse or cycle of depletion.
•Pleasure and intimacy do not disappear here; they evolve.

Here’s to doing it differently ❤️

Health spaces should be grounded in safety, professionalism, & mutual respect. Practitioners deserve to work without being objectified, intimidated, or harassed. This conversation matters because protecting professional boundaries protects both parties, & helps preserve the integrity of care.

The city has its own rhythm.

In the early morning, the energy is calm,
The streets feel more open,
And everything moves with less resistance.

The day holds all possibility.

This is where we begin…

* How are you spending your weekend?! ❤️

If we’re lucky, life is filled with many chapters…
and unforgettable humans who cross our path, leaving imprints of their hearts on ours.

Today I learned of the passing of a beautiful colleague and mentor from my time living in London. It feels like a lifetime ago, yet through social media, I was able to stay connected with Cheryl from across the globe.

Cheryl was a master of her craft. More than a hairstylist, she was an artist and a visionary, working alongside the best in the industry. She was also a teacher and mentor to many. But greater than her love of hair was her love for her daughter, something you could feel in everything she did.

Over the past few years, I witnessed Cheryl’s journey with cancer. Her strength, determination, and continued love of pole dancing through it all was nothing short of inspiring.

The bittersweet truth of life is that none of us is here forever, and her absence will leave a profound space in the lives of those who loved her. But we are so lucky to carry the memories she gave us… and we’ll always have the Snow Ball (IYKYK).

Rest in peace, dear friend.
You truly were an icon ❤️

Have you ever had a moment of realisation where everything that came before suddenly makes sense?

The beautiful moments, the painful ones… all of it guiding you to exactly where you’re supposed to be.

That’s how I feel studying Classical Acupuncture with Ann Cecile Sterman.

I’ve been a little quiet here lately because I’m deep in some of the most extraordinary study I could imagine. This medicine is living and breathing. As my understanding expands, so do I. This medicine is where “woo-woo” becomes reality (I might get in trouble for saying that 😊).

I’ve found my place. I’ve found my people.

I can’t wait to share the knowledge.

Sending LOVE,
Melanie

The Fire Horse carries movement, spirit, momentum, and the courage to run toward what feels alive. The flame that asks us to trust our instincts and move from embodied truth.

In Chinese Medicine, fire connects to heart energy, joy, expression, and the spark that brings us into relationship with life itself. The Horse reminds us that freedom isn’t found in escape, but in alignment: when our nervous system feels safe enough to move with purpose rather than survival.

This year invites us to soften the grip of overthinking and return to rhythm. To listen to the body. To follow what lights us gently, steadily, sustainably, and with passion.

May this Lunar New Year bring clarity of heart, courage of spirit, and the kind of momentum that feels grounded in your own inner wisdom.

Grounding cosmic wisdom into embodied practice, one step, one breath, one heartbeat at a time.

This is not the year to play small.

Happy Lunar New Year Lovers ❤️
