Dawson’s second birthday party. A gluten free festival for him and us.
How great is the banner Bugalugs | Name garlands, Bag Charms, Birthday Banners made me. A new tradition to use at each birthday going forward 🎈.

Digger cake! A two year old dream. Our oven will not bake a cake (it wouldn’t rise) so outsourced to the Coles Celebration cake & then decorated it (the fun bit!).

Nagi & Dozer - RecipeTin Eats gluten free brownies made into little cars. With The GF Lolly Co. 🍭 smarties and Arnott's Biscuits tiny teddies. 🍭

Dinner post wiggles Hotel Spencer Bar & Grill the parmas are huge and the coleslaw is delicious (and optional if you hate salad). All menu can be gluten free, separate friers and very knowledgesble staff. We will be back soon!

Dinner at Edinburgh Castle Brunswick tried something other than a Parma and it did not disappoint!

The new ONDA 🩷💛 location has opened in Fitzroy! 🩷
It is 100% gluten free & coeliac accredited. Plus they have FODMAP, vegan, vegetarian & halal options.
We were to try the $59 feed me menu, which was a delicious mix of dishes & generous servings (you won’t leave hungry!).
Our nearly two year old toddler Dawson nearly had a melt down in the first 30 mins but we pulled it together to stay and I’m so glad we did. The arepas were the stand out dish, they were fried, crunchy & filled with flavour. Dawson’s favourite was the lamb & potato wedges.
They also have two bays gluten free beer and an extensive cocktail list.
The service was also lovely and attentive considering how busy they were. We will definitely be back soon.

New M&s products at Coles that are gluten free by ingredient. There are a few other products that aren’t gluten free. All their lollies brought out last year are gluten free and on sale/clearance currently in case you missed it.

I’m interested in trying the Big Daddy chocolate bar which is like a giant snickers apparently. But it’s $20 so I’ll hold out for a sale. Allergens peanut, milk & soy.

The Swiss chocolates look great for a boxed chocolate option (the only ones I know of are the Cadbury Milk Tray & the Guylian dupe at Woolies). They were $15 for a fairly large packet. Allergens milk, almond, hazelnut and egg.

The peanut butter caramel chunkier also intrigued me, $8 for a packet. I’ll probably cave on those and buy soon. Allergens milk, peanut and soy.

And some classic honeycomb, which it looks like is made with real chocolate not compound. My main gripe with the current gluten free versions on the market. It’s $8 a pack, allergens milk and soy.

Some have may contains as well I didn’t list.

Decent hit of protein (39g!).

Looking on their website most of their ready made meals except 3 state gluten free.
Has anyone tried them? Or seen them at a store that isn’t Woolworths metro?
I’ve sent them an email to check where they are available as it doesn’t list on their website.

New finds in the freezer at Woolworths. Have you tried them?

The protein pancakes contain egg and milk.

The choc protein muffins contain egg, milk & soy.

The protein bites contains egg & milk.

All are $10.95 for a packet.

There is so much ‘protein’ in food products going around at the moment it seems like insanity. At least this is from eggs so protein being in it seems normal!

GLUTEN FREE (and yes oat free) Oreos have hit stores in Australia. 💙

You would have seen ‘gluten free’ oreos doing the rounds for a bit in the USA but they contain oats. So not gluten free to Australia & NZ standards. These ones have been formulated without oats. See last slide for ingredients.

Taste test: they taste like oreos to me. The biscuit is crunchier in my opinion, but the filing is the same. Compared to the ARNOTTS cookies & cream biscuits they are more ‘Oreo’ like. And they twist apart! As a kid I always used to try and eat the filling first.

So far they’ve been spotted at Woolworth stores in Vic - Inner North Melbourne area. $4.50 for a packet of 10. So unfortunately the ‘gluten free’ price point 😜. But hopefully for those who haven’t had Oreos since diagnosed they live up to your memory of it.

So apparently gluten free and oat free oreos have hit the shelves in Australia! Spotted in a Woolies in Victoria. I don’t have a photo as it was shared in a private Facebook group (have now added with permission!). They look like the original single roll pack but gluten free!

There has been gluten free (by USA standard so not in Australia) oreos that contain oats out for a little while now (the picture on this post). So it’s exciting they have hopefully made an oat free version. Let me know if you spot them in your supermarket. They’re not on my Woolies app yet.

Have you heard of You, Me & Gluten Free | CAKES | LAUNCESTON ? It’s a small gluten-free business run by Maddie that you can now support Australia-wide 🤍

She kindly sent me her signature slice box, which included a Kinder slice, caramel slice, caramilk slice, Snickers slice, and a Nutella brownie (my favourite). Everything arrived individually wrapped and perfectly packaged.

I shared them with my family for Easter afternoon tea and they disappeared very quickly.

You can also order cookie boxes (I’ve got my eye on the Dubai Crunch flavour 👀) and there’s a dairy free slice option too. If you’re in Tassie, she also creates beautiful celebration cakes to order. Give her a follow to support a great gluten free small business.

Happy Easter 🐣. I hope you all celebrated with lots of gluten free chocolate.
We tried the Easter tart for dessert from gelatopapa 💛. It was a delicious mix of chocolate & passionfruit.
If you’re in Melbourne they’re a must visit for gluten free gelato, cakes, choc tops & special themed desserts year long. They have two stores one in Preston & one in Fairfield. 💕
