There’s much more to an acupuncture appointment than just needles.

As a registered acupuncturist and AACMA member, I’m supporting Acupuncture Awareness Month and helping share more about what acupuncture care involves.

An appointment begins with a conversation about your health, medical history and the reason you are seeking care. This information helps inform the assessment and proposed treatment, with an opportunity to ask questions before proceeding.

Acupuncture Awareness Month is a chance to discover more about how acupuncture is practised in Australia today.

Did you know β€œacupuncturist” is a protected title in Australia?
As a registered acupuncturist and AACMA member, this is something I’m proud to highlight during Acupuncture Awareness Month.

Registered acupuncturists must meet national requirements for education, training, professional practice and ongoing registration with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia.

This September is a great opportunity to learn more about our profession and the qualifications behind the title.

September is Acupuncture Awareness Month.

As an AACMA member and registered acupuncturist, I’m proud to be supporting Acupuncture Awareness Month this September.
Throughout the month, AACMA is helping Australians learn more about acupuncture, how it is practised and the professional standards behind registered acupuncturists in Australia.

It’s a great opportunity to clear up some common misconceptions and discover that there may be more to acupuncture than you realise.

Autumn sure was a long time coming and we're still feeling that now, with the leaves still holding on but Winter is just around the corner so here are some tips on how to blend harmoniously with this season πŸ˜ƒ

As winter draws in with its cold winds, shorter days, and longer nights, our bodies and minds are invited to slow down, reflect, and preserve energy. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), winter is not just a seasonβ€”it is an essential phase in the cycle of nature and health. It is the time of

I love my sleep and sometimes, sadly, there are times when I just don't sleep well. The great thing about Chinese Medicine is that we work with everyone as an individual and work with their own specific imbalances. I can fortunately apply this knowledge to help myself and others return to that lovely rejuvenating sleep!

If you have trouble sleeping, have a look at this article about the common and different types of insomnia in Chinese Medicine. It has a few tips you can apply for each type and if the improvement isn't enough, please see your Chinese Medicine practitioner for extra support! :)

Insomnia is a common condition that affects many people worldwide. In Chinese Medicine, insomnia is viewed as a symptom rather than a disease. Chinese Medicine recognises different types of insomnia, each with its unique set of causes and symptoms. The treatment of insomnia in Chinese Medicine is ta
