🇬🇷 TRAINING FOR PERU… FROM GREECE! 🇵🇪🥾🏔️

When you’re preparing to trek the Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu, even a European holiday can become part of the training! 😄

One of my trekkers, Renata, is currently travelling through Greece before meeting us in Cusco for our October adventure — and she’s certainly not letting her training disappear while she’s away!

This weekend she took on The Castro of Ancient Corinth — 2½ hours on rocky, uneven terrain, plenty of climbing and descending, and temperatures reaching 37°C at the highest point. 🥵

Not a bad Sunday training walk, Renata! 👏👏

We’ve spent the past few months steadily building her strength, aerobic fitness, walking endurance and confidence on varied terrain. Now, with around 50 days to go, the priority is simple: maintain that wonderful fitness, keep getting time on the feet, and most importantly, arrive in Peru healthy and ready for the adventure.

I absolutely LOVE seeing my trekkers putting in the work — wherever in the world they happen to be. 💚I am so proud of you Renata! 🙌

Next stop… the Andes. 🇵🇪🏔️

🇵🇪🏔️ 46 DAYS UNTIL I RETURN TO THE ANDES! 🥾❤️

The countdown is well and truly on!

These photos take me back to 2019, when I last led the incredible Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu - crossing the spectacular Salkantay Pass, trekking beneath those magnificent Andean peaks and finishing our adventure with the extraordinary Rainbow Mountain. 🌄🌈🥾

Now, seven years later, I’m going back. ❤️

This October I’ll be returning to Peru to lead my Salkantay to Machu Picchu Boutique Expedition, sharing the journey this time with Richard and Renata, alongside my wonderful Peruvian co-guide Fermin. 🇵🇪

There is something pretty special about looking back at these memories knowing that in just 46 days, a whole new adventure - and a whole new collection of memories — will begin.

The planning is done. ✅
The gear is sorted. 🎒
The training continues. 🥾
And the excitement is definitely building! ❤️

46 days.
Peru 2026.
Here we come! 🇵🇪🏔️🥾

Sunday afternoon DIY landscaping with the wifey! 🪴🤍☀️

Our little front garden was looking rather tired and in need of some love, so Andi and I decided it was time for a Sunday afternoon rejuvenation.

A few succulents, some kangaroo paw, bigger decorative rocks and A LOT of fresh white stone later… and we have ourselves a whole new garden! 🌿🪨

And when I say white, I mean WHITE. 😂😎🫣🤭
We may need sunglasses just to walk past it for the next few weeks! 🤣😂

Not bad for our first DIY wifey landscaping job, if we do say so ourselves. 👩‍🌾❤️👩‍🌾❤️

But the best part was all the laughs along the way and just having some beautiful quality time together, as we celebrated the first week of our second year of marriage. ❤️🥰❤️🥰

Sometimes the simplest Sundays really are the best ones.
Before ➡️ after.
Quite the little transformation!

Well… I DID IT!!! 😱😂

Photo 1: Me outside the tattoo studio at 6am… because apparently driving past to freak myself out before the appointment seemed like a good idea. 🤦‍♀️😂

Photo 2: The torture bed! 😳🤣

Photo 3: And the finished product… 🥹❤️

🏃‍♀️ 🗻 ❤️ 🦋

Four little symbols for some very big parts of my story, all connected in one continuous line. ❤️

Each one represents something that has had a monumental impact on my life… so perhaps they deserve the space after all. ❤️

Running, where my athletic journey began and is now beginning again; the mountains that have shaped so much of my life; a heart for living with love; and a butterfly for transformation, growth and freedom.

Everything changes, everything grows… and the journey continues. 🏃‍♀️🗻❤️🦋

Photo 4: And apparently I’m now the proud owner of a tattoo aftercare regime! 🤣🧴

And yes… I absolutely LOVE IT!!! 🥰❤️

🫣When you’re 11 days away from turning 50 and suddenly think getting your first tattoo is a great idea… 🫣🤣
A little pre-tattoo car monologue from someone who was clearly feeling VERY brave when she booked the appointment! 😂

Here goes nothing… 😳

✨ Meet Renata – One of My Peru Trekkers! 🇵🇪🌄🥾
With my Salkantay to Machu Picchu Boutique Expedition drawing closer, I thought it would be lovely to introduce you to Renata, who will be joining me on this incredible adventure in October.
In this short interview, we chat about:
🌿 What inspired her to take on this unforgettable journey.
💚 Why she decided to say “yes” to Peru.
👨‍👩‍👧 What her family and friends think about her travelling to the Andes.
🏔️ What she’s most looking forward to.
😅 And what she’s a little nervous about as the trek approaches.
Every trek has a story, and every trekker has their own reason for saying “yes” to the adventure. I hope you enjoy hearing Renata’s.
The countdown to Peru is well and truly on, and I can’t wait to share this incredible journey with Renata and Richard this October.

🔥Back to business as usual 💪💚

After an incredible few weeks exploring the UK, it has been great to be back this week working with both my individual clients and Snap Fitness Hampton group class members.

One of the things I was most excited about returning home to was hearing how everyone got on while I was away. It has been so lovely receiving messages from clients telling me they stayed consistent, followed their individual programs diligently, and kept moving towards their goals.🙌🤩💚

As a coach, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing people take ownership of their training and continue showing up, even when I’m not there to supervise.

A huge thank you to my wonderful clients and Snap Fitness Hampton group class members. Knowing so many of you embraced the programs I left behind, stayed active, and kept showing up for yourselves while I was away made me incredibly proud.☺️🫶💛

I’m excited to be back doing what I love, helping people move better, get stronger, and continue progressing towards their goals.🎯

Now… let’s get back to work! 💪😉

Scotland, you’ve stolen a little piece of my heart 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️🙏

With only one day remaining, our road trip is nearing its end.

For the past few days we’ve been based in the peaceful village of Appin, venturing out on day trips to explore Port Appin, Oban, Fort William, Glencoe, Inveraray and the surrounding Highlands. The weather has been wet, wild, and wonderfully unpredictable, but somehow that only seems to add to the magic.✨

Scotland feels raw and rugged in the very best way. One moment the mountains disappear behind mist and rain, the next they’re glowing in sunshine. Every winding road, loch, castle, and tiny village seems to have a story to tell.

I did briefly consider climbing Ben Nevis (1,345m), the highest mountain in the UK… but despite spending time in Fort William, I never actually saw the mountain! It remained hidden behind cloud and rain for our entire visit!😂🏔️

In fact, my La Sportiva hiking boots haven’t even made it out of the boot bag this trip! 🥾🥾

I think I’ll save both the boots and Ben Nevis for another visit when Scotland decides to show me the view.

These final days have been slower, quieter, and exactly what we needed. Just Andi and me, soaking up the beauty of the Highlands, embracing the changing weather, and enjoying the simple joy of being together.❤️🫶❤️

As this incredible UK adventure draws to a close, I’m feeling grateful for the family, the friends, the laughter, the memories, and the places that have taken my breath away along the journey.🙏

Scotland and England, you’ve been absolutely unforgettable!
Thank you! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙🇬🇧

UK adventures continue 🇬🇧💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s been a few days since my last post, and our road trip is now entering its final chapter.🇬🇧📖🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

After wonderful weeks filled with family, friends, celebrations, and exploring some incredible places, things have slowed down a notch. We’ve said goodbye to busy Edinburgh and have made our way to the quiet little town of Appin in the Scottish Highlands.

We’re now tucked away in a cosy cabin, surrounded by lush rolling hills, mesmerising lochs, and the kind of scenery that makes you stop and simply take it all in. The weather has certainly changed too - cold, wet, and rainy, a stark contrast to the sunshine and heatwave that welcomed us to England over two weeks ago! ☔️🇬🇧

For the next five days, it’s just Andi and me, slowing down, enjoying time together, and soaking up the beauty and tranquillity of the Scottish Highlands.❤️

Feeling very grateful for every moment of this adventure! 🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💚
