The wait is over. The biggest game of the season is here!

This Sunday 23rd August, our Fitzroy Stars Women's Team takes on Ivanhoe in the Grand Final at Preston City Oval, with the first bounce at 12:00pm.

These two sides have already produced some great battles this season, winning one game each during the regular season, and the Stars getting the upper hand in the Qualifying Final. But Ivanhoe finished the home and away season as Minor Premiers, and they'll be ready to throw everything at us in what promises to be a hard-fought and thrilling contest.

For our women, this is an opportunity to write a special chapter in the club's history - to win our first ever Women's Premiership. After last year's Grand Final, they have worked tirelessly all season to earn another shot at premiership glory. Now they're back on the biggest stage and ready to leave everything out on the field.

Let's make sure they feel the support of the entire Stars family! Pack out Preston City Oval, wear your red, black and yellow with pride, and cheer on our ladies loudly and proudly!

Combining Culture and quality family time, these workshops not only strengthened connections, but gave families a piece of their Culture to keep, pass along, and teach future generations 🖤💛❤️

“Giving them different tools on working together and communicating how they want to share their stories, and letting kids lead the way in some of that creation, holding space for them to express themselves in a Culturally safe way has been really important,” said program facilitator Saoirse McMahon-Lovett, Gunditjmara.

Bunjilwarra is VAHS' purpose-built residential healing centre, run by Mob for Mob.

Set peacefully amongst the gums on Bunurong Country, Mornington Peninsula, Bunjilwarra, affectionately known by staff as Bunj, follows the Aboriginal-defined notion of healing in a Cultural framework 🌿

The team of professionals supports young people aged 16-25 struggling with addiction with trauma-informed practice and therapeutic recovery frameworks.

💤 PYJAMA DAY 💤

The Koorie Kids team at VAHS Preston, and the VAHS South Morang team got comfy for a cause on National Pyjama Day 🧸

An initiative by The Pyjama Foundation, the cause raises vital funds for children living in foster care and ensuring they are not left behind 🖤💛❤️

The team cooked up a pancake brekky, played some board games and Mario Kart, all while raising funds and awareness for a worthy cause 💸

🎄Christmas in July 🎄

The South Morang Elders Group came together for some festive fun, including a special meal, gift exchange, and enjoying one another's company 🎁

The South Morang Elders Group meet every Tuesday and Friday at 855 Plenty Road South Morang from 10.30am to 2pm, for Mob aged 50 plus to come together and have a feed, yarn with our workers, participate in games, and just have a Culturally safe space to meet their peers. New faces are always welcome 🖤💛❤️
