🌱 Spring Equinox 🌱

Today, light and darkness meet in balance as we welcome the beginning of spring.

In Chinese medicine, spring belongs to the Wood element - a season of renewal, creativity, vision and upward movement. After the quiet, inward energy of yin winter, something begins to stir. It may arrive as a new idea, a desire for change or a gentle pull towards something that has been waiting.

Like a seedling quietly finding its way through the soil, spring invites us to trust what is emerging and give it space to grow.

What is ready to rise within you this spring?

And remember, there is no need to rush. New growth unfolds in its own time. 🌱

Exciting news 🌼

🌳 From October, I will be offering integrative acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine consultations at Womankind Physiotherapy in Eltham.

🌳 I am an AHPRA-registered acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner with a special interest in supporting women through transitional phases, including menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy and perimenopause.

🌳 My approach is gentle and individualised, combining acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary therapy and somatic embodied practices.

🌳 Appointments at Womankind will be available on Saturdays and booked directly through Yin Earth Medicine. Private health rebates for acupuncture & Chinese medicine may apply, depending on your level of cover.

🌳 I look forward to welcoming you to this new space.

Perimenopause and menopause can bring changes to our bodies, emotions and the way we experience ourselves.

In Chinese medicine, this transition is often referred to as Second Spring - a time that can invite us to turn our attention inwards, reassess what matters and nurture ourselves in a different way.

In my latest blog, I explore perimenopause and menopause, ways to support yourself through this transition, and how acupuncture and Chinese medicine may help.

I am excited to share Yin Earth Medicine, my new acupuncture and Chinese Medicine clinic in Eltham.

It has been such a pleasure to care for patients in Altona Meadows and Northcote over the years, and I am incredibly grateful for the trust and support they have given me.

My family and I moved to Eltham in February, and it has been such a beautiful place to call home. I love being surrounded by nature and look forward to continuing to support women through every stage of life.

Happy Summer Solstice Beauties! ☀️ May this New Year around the Sun bring you everything you desire and much, much more! 💫

The Summer Solstice is the longest day and shortest night of the year. It is the day of the fullest solar illumination.

🌞 How it affects you:
This is the peak of the earth cycle, with a similar energy to the full moon. And ovulation. Peak outward energy, full bloom, full expression.

Elevated mood, celebratory, full expression, desire to be outside, social time.

Difficulty sleeping, very short night, reduced ability to rest.

☯️ In Chinese medicine, Summer is the Fire element and the emotion of JOY. When out of balance, we can feel panic or anxiety.

🎊 What to do on the Summer Solstice:
Gather with friends and have a party

🕯Summer Solstice prayers:
Give thanks for everything that has come to fullness in your life. I like to light a candle.
