Changes to the NDIS.

The government wants to change the NDIS laws. They have written a big document with new rules. This document is called a Bill.

The Senate Committee is a group of people in the government. They want to know what you think about these changes.
You can send them your thoughts in a message. This is called making a submission.

Important Dates.

You must send your submission by Friday 10 July.
You must send it before the end of the working day.

How to have your say.

The new rules document is very long. It has more than 100 pages. It uses hard words and is difficult to understand.

I know many of you want to have your say but do not know how to start. PWDA can help you. PWDA (People with Disability Australia)is a group that stands up for people with disability.

PWDA made a submission guide. This is a document that helps you write your message to the government.

Other groups made guides in easy English, too. You can find links to guides from:
- SARU
- Inclusion Australia
- Every Australian Counts

All of these guides are on the PWDA website. Click this link:👇

An example for you.

Shannon Meilak wrote her own submission to the government. We put it in the comments section below. You can read it to see an example of what to write.
