October is Blindness Awareness Month 👁️

Looking after your eye health is an important part of maintaining your independence as you age. Regular eye tests can help detect changes in your vision early, making it easier to stay safe, confident and connected to the things you enjoy.

If it's been a while since your last eye test, consider booking a check-up with your optometrist. They're FREE if you're over 65 years of age!

Aged Care Update: Personal Care is now fully funded!

From 1 October 2026, personal care services such as showering, dressing and grooming will be fully funded under Support at Home, meaning no out-of-pocket co-contribution for these services.

That means more of your funding can go towards the supports that help you stay independent, safe and connected at home.
