Books are such a simple way to build language - but the right book can give your child so many opportunities to target specific skills.

As speechies, we choose booked with language goals in mind such as:

🌱 Building vocabulary
🌱 Expanding sentences

The most important therapy your child receives doesn’t happen in the therapy room. It happens in the hundreds of everyday moments that make up the rest of their week.

That is why parent coaching is such a big part of what we do at Babble Bees. Not because we expect parents to become therapist, but because small changes in everyday interactions can make a big difference.

The goals isn’t to add more to your plate - but to help you make the most of the moments you’re having together 🧡

Save and share this post with a parent who needs the reminder that they play a powerful role in their child’s communication journey.

Today is World Day for Safety & Health at Work.
We wanted to share something that doesn’t get talked about enough — what’s actually happening behind the scenes for your child’s speech therapist. This is something we are noticing happen increasingly recently ... therapist burnout.
This isn’t a complaint. It’s an honest look at why therapists are leaving the profession, and why that matters for your family.
Because when therapists burn out, children lose continuity. And continuity is where the real progress happens.
If this resonated, save it or share it with someone who’d want to understand.

Happy Neurodiversity Celebration Week 🌈

This week is a great reminder that neurodivergent children are often misunderstood - not because people don’t care, but because many of us were never taught what neurodiversity actually means.

In our work with families, we see this all the time.

✨ A child’s deep focus might also make transitions difficult.

✨ A child who masks all day at school might come home completely exhausted.

✨ A child asking endless questions might simply be processing the world in their own thoughtful way.

The same brain 🧠 wiring can bring both strengths and challenges - and both deserve to be understood.

Celebrating neurodiversity isn’t about pretending difficulties don’t exist.

It’s about understanding differences so we can support children in ways that actually work for them.

For many families, learning how their child’s brain works is the moment everything starts to make more sense.

Save this post if you’re learning about neurodiversity 🐝🧡

All within a structured, supportive group setting.

🌀 Build longer sentences using connecting words
🌀 Expand vocabulary
🌀 Strengthen comprehension

All within a small, supportive group setting.

If this sounds familiar, you can learn more about Story Champs on our Groups Therapy page on our website.
