🌸 The Origin of Plum Blossom Divination
(The Awakening of Shao Kangjie)
During the Northern Song Dynasty, on a tranquil spring morning in Luoyang, the sage Shao Kangjie (also known as Shao Yong) wandered through the countryside with a friend.
The air carried the fragrance of early plum blossoms — calm, clear, and filled with quiet vitality.
As they walked beneath an ancient tree, two small birds descended upon a branch.
They fluttered, circled, and quarreled for the same twig — their cries weaving through the wind, their wings scattering fallen petals.
To others, it was but a fleeting scene of nature.
Yet to the sage, it was Heaven whispering through form and motion.
Shao paused, his gaze serene yet penetrating.
He softly murmured:
“Two birds fighting for one branch — Yin and Yang in conflict.
The Qi here is unsettled.
Soon, a young woman will meet with misfortune beneath this tree.”
Moments later, a maiden carrying a basket walked down the path.
As she passed beneath the tree, she slipped and fell.
Though unharmed, all were astonished — except Shao, who smiled faintly, as though he had glimpsed the rhythm behind the veil of chance.
His companion asked, “Master Shao, how could you know this?”
Shao replied calmly:
“All things move in resonance with Heaven.
When the heart is still, it mirrors the Way.
Every motion, every sound, every pattern —
is a number, a symbol, a reflection of the cosmic design.”
From that moment, he understood that true divination arises not from tools or rituals,
but from the subtle union of heart and Heaven — the instant when inner awareness meets the outer sign.
Thus he formulated a new method:
To divine from the moment of inspiration,
to read the world as a living text of Heaven’s numbers.
Because his enlightenment came beneath the plum blossoms,
he named this system “Plum Blossom Numerology” — Mei Hua Yi Shu.
✨ Reflection
True divination does not rely on coins or stalks.
It begins when the heart is clear, the spirit still,
and the world reveals its pattern in a single breath.

《梅花易數 · 本源之悟》
北宋年間，洛陽郊外，春寒乍暖。
大地甦醒，梅花初綻。
哲人邵康節先生，與友人閒行野外，觀天地之氣機，悟陰陽之變化。忽見前方一棵老樹，枝間飛來兩隻小鳥，盤旋啁啾，爭奪一枝。羽翎翻動間，風起花落，似爭似戲。
邵子凝視良久，心中忽有所感。
他微閉雙目，靜念曰：
「兩鳥爭枝，陰陽相格。此地氣亂，恐有陰人於斯地失足。」
言未竟，一名少女從田徑而來，提籃過路，至樹下，不慎滑倒。眾人驚呼，幸無大礙。邵子卻微笑而不語。
友人問其故。
邵子淡然曰：
「天人感應，理數相通。物動即象，心感即卦。
若人心清明，則萬物之變，皆可為數，皆可為象。」
自此，他以「心感而起卦，象數而窮理」，創立一法，不依銅錢蓍草，不借奇門星斗，純以「一念之動」推天道之機。
因悟於梅下，故名曰——《梅花易數》。
