Wolf & Birch Wellness is the creation of Fiona Meiklejohn (BHSc (Nutritional Medicine), RP II). Fiona is a passionate advocate for self-empowerment through health and healing, and incorporates Holistic Nutrition, Holistic Counselling, Health and Lifestyle Coaching, Reiki and Meditation/Mindfulness Coaching to offer a personalised and self-actualising path to wellness of body, mind and spirit. Her lifelong devotion to natural therapies began as a teenager, particularly around nutrition and mind-body medicine. She began courses in Naturopathy in the 90s, ultimately choosing to specialise in Nutritional Medicine, in which she completed her Bachelor degree in 2008. She has practiced in Melbourne and Byron Bay, and has gradually been drawn to a more holistic and personalised form of wellness practice, in particular focusing on the root mental and emotional causes of chronic physical symptoms. As well as her Bachelor Degree in Health Science she recently completed a course at Harvard Medical School in Health and Wellness/Nutrition and short courses on the gut biome and food psychology. She is currently completing her Practitioner Certificate in Holistic Counseling and is a certified Reiki practitioner (Level 2). She firmly believes that true health goes beyond just the physical - it encompasses your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Through personalised and holistic nutrition and counseling, mindfulness coaching and Reiki healing, she is here to support you every step of the way, whether you're looking to improve your eating habits, or manage stress, or to find overall balance in your life. 🌝🌒FULL MOON & PARTIAL LUNAR ECLIPSE IN PISCES, AUGUST 28th, 2.18pm AEST

The beautiful, magical, mysical Pisces Full Moon is upon us, combined this year with a partial lunar eclipse. We won’t see it here in Australia but we will FEEL it. Because Pisces is alllll about FEELINGS.

Hands up if you’ve been feeling heavy, flat, sad (aside from all our tears over Dolly saying goodbye ❤️‍🩹), fed up and ready to shrug off anything that’s keeping you down and holding you back 🙋🏻‍♀️

This eclipse marks the end of a 2 year Pisces/Virgo eclipse cycle too. Big vibes. Think about what you were doing, or planning, or FEELING in September 2024. There will probably be some kind of release or closure happening now, and a shift in how you manage perfectionism, and that damn tendency to over-analyse and try to control everything you think and FEEL.

Full Moons illuminate. Eclipses disrupt the usual rhythm. Pisces takes us into our waters, to the places that can’t always be understood through logic alone. Our intuition, dreams, emotions, creativity, the subconscious and the unseen.

Pisces is water energy. Deep, receptive and fluid.

This is a magnificent time to pay attention to what’s surfacing. Recurring dreams and symbols, unexpected waves of emotion, synchronicities, sudden creative impulses, old memories or intuitive flashes that wash over you out of nowhere.

But … don’t analyse it. FEEL it.

Observe. Create. Cleanse. Listen. Write. Cry.

And then darlings …….. let it go.

Your brain is literally a muscle. Like any other muscle, it gets stronger the more it is used. It is built to learn, adapt and change throughout your life.

Give it novelty.
Give it challenge.
Give it focused attention.
Give it rest.
Give it exercise.
Feed it properly.

Most importantly: keep showing it that there are multiple ways to experience reality.

🌚🌞NEW MOON IN LEO & TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE, AUGUST 13th, 3.36am AEST

This Leo New Moon arrives right alongside a Solar Eclipse, making the lunation feel a little different than usual. A little bit more expressive, a little bit braver, a little bit WILDER!

Astronomically speaking, a Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, in their great ongoing cosmic dance, briefly obscuring the Sun’s light from us.

Sadly, this particular eclipse won’t be visible from Australia, with the path of totality crossing parts of Greenland, Iceland, Spain and Russia instead.

Astrologically speaking, eclipses are viewed as portals, or turning points. They illuminate what is ready to change, evolve, begin, expand, or come into clearer focus.

Whether you work with the energies of astrology or simply enjoy marking the rhythms of the natural world, New Moons are always an invitation to take a breath, look up, and take stock of what we would like to refresh and upgrade in our lives.

Combined with the energy of majestic Leo the Lion’s themes of courage, creativity, authenticity and sparkling self-expression, this is a super powerful time to reconnect with the parts of yourself you’ve kept pushed aside, waiting in the wings.

Remember: You are a magnificent, shining creature, as much a part of this glorious Universe as any other atom, planet, Sun or star! Lean into this energy as the Earth, Sun and Moon line up together and OWN your place in the cosmos.
