On Sunday, August 9th, we are still in the Lions Gate Portal and today Mercury, the Messenger, moves into Leo the Lion, joining the Sun, ruler of our Light, and Jupiter, ruler of blessings, in this regal, fire sign.

Mercury rules the mental realm of thoughts, ideas, perceptions, perspectives, communication and information. In Leo, there is a shift from sensitive and emotional interactions (Cancer) to bold, confident expression (Leo).

This energy inspires us to talk with passion, share creative ideas, and lead with our hearts. We become more bold, dramatic, courageous and charismatic. Words carry extra warmth, flair, and theatrical energy. It is a great time to speak with conviction, pitch creative projects, or share your voice.

On the shadow side, our ego and pride can enter the mix. Conversations can lean toward personal validation. We want to be seen and appreciated. We can become stubborn and less likely to listen to what others have to say.

However, on the positive side, we have more enthusiasm, vitality and zest for life. We can focus on what truly matters, with confidence, leadership and the ability to take decisive action. Decisions tend to happen swiftly, opening doors to fast-moving opportunities. It is time to inspire and create!

On Thursday, August 6th, we have lovely Venus ruler of relationships and resources, shifting into cooperative Libra at 3:13pm ET. This brings in a welcome wave of serenity, balance and compromise, rather than the practical, discerning, and sometimes picky energies of her travels through Virgo.

Venus does rule finances, but that is more the domain of the second sign that she rules which is Ta**us. In her home sign of Libra she is all about partnerships and connections with others. Here she will focus on equality, harmony and grace.

She will be in this sign of The Scales until September 9th, and then again from October 25th through December 3rd, as she turns retrograde in October in the deep sign of Scorpio. But, that will be a story for another time.

For these next few weeks, until September 9th, it is all about reciprocity in relationships and repairing tensions that may exist in our connections with others. For Libra there must be equal give and take for things to feel right and fair. And, as far as smoothing over past conflicts, using diplomacy and making kinder choices is indicated.

Expressing and sharing love is a top priority for Venus in Libra. So, make time in your relationships to let people know how much you care. But also remember to keep the balance of "the scales" as far as what you are giving, and what you are receiving in return.

On Monday, August 3rd, we have Chiron, the Wounded Healer, stationing and turning to retrograde motion at 0 degrees Ta**us. This marks the beginning of an internal healing time period focusing on self-worth, financial security and feeling comfortable with your own body.

It asks you to re-examine deep-seated insecurities about what you feel you deserve and how you build long term stability. This is a wound of worthiness. You may be confronting core questions regarding your personal value, your income, and your comfort level as it pertains to body image.

You may be experiencing personal insecurities, core self-worth wounds, and unresolved issues around safety and value. Chiron's retrograde phase moves us away from quick external fixes and toward profound self-compassion.

Chiron works quietly and psychologically, as he retrogrades in Ta**us, to bring old tender spots back to the surface so you can set better boundaries, come into the awareness that you are worthy and deserving, and learn to love yourself more.

On Thursday, July 16th, we begin the second half of this powerful, evolutionary month of July 2026.

The first half of the month we had Neptune, ruler of transcendence, shift to retrograde motion, which initiated the internalizing of mystical, spiritual energies within our inner being...Venus, ruler of magnetism and receptivity, attracting in the Priestess energies as she shifted into Virgo...a New Moon in Cancer, activating a new way of feeling and using our intuition...and then, the beginning of the formation of the astrological "Magic Triangle" of July with Uranus, ruler of awakening, connecting to Neptune, ruler of enlightenment, bring in the energies of breakthrough and reinvention.

Now, the second half of the month starts to unfold, and we will experience Uranus, ruler of liberation, connecting to Pluto, ruler of transformation, which brings in sudden, revolutionary changes...Jupiter, planet of blessings, connecting to all three outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, creating another rare astrological pattern called the Barbault Basket, initiating the birth of a new era...Mercury, the Messenger, turning back to direct motion in Cancer supporting us in our emotional and mental body healing...Saturn, planet of karma and wisdom, turning to retrograde motion so that we understand the lessons of the past and take what we have learned to apply it in the future...and, finally, a Full Moon in Aquarius at the end of the month, closing out a chapter on our magical cosmic journey.

Remember also, that July 2026 vibrates to the Star card in the tarot. This is a time of hope, healing and renewal. It is a month of letting go of past hurts and healing old stories, so that we step into clarity, trusting the divine plan and timing of the universe.

Raven and the Red Butterfly

The raven waited
without a sound.

His feathers carried
the oldest night.

His eyes remembered
forgotten fires.

A red butterfly
kissed his beak.

Small as dawn,
bright as prayer.

The raven listened
without speaking.

The butterfly carried
one silent blessing.

Not every message
needs a voice.

Some arrive
on gentle wings.

Some become
a sacred breath.

Grandfather Raven
closed his eyes.

He welcomed beauty
without holding it.

The butterfly lingered,
then followed light.

One kept the sky.
One carried dawn.

Between black feathers
and crimson wings,

Daughter of the Moon-Water

Under the crescent moon, where the old spirits breathe,
she rose from the water with sorrow in her hair.
Her body was painted with the songs of the ancestors,
blue like night, black like memory, white like prayer.

The stars did not watch her—
they remembered her.
Each one carried a name once spoken by fire,
each one held a grandmother’s whisper in the dark.

She bent between sky and sea,
not broken, but becoming.
Her tears fell into the waves
and returned as sacred light.

The moon leaned close like an elder’s face,
carved with stories no tongue could finish.
It told her, “Child of water, child of wind,
your grief is not a weight—it is a doorway.”

So she danced where the ocean touched the heavens,
her spirit shaped like a raven’s wing,
her heart deep as the salmon’s journey,
her silence louder than thunder.

Behind her, the clouds opened like white drums,
and the water sang beneath her feet.
The ancestors gathered in circles of blue,
painting her shadow with protection.

She was not alone in the night.
She was carried by every hand before her,
by every mother who prayed into the stars,
by every father who became a mountain.

And when she rose from the waves,
the moon placed silver on her soul,
reminding her softly—
what is lost in this world
is held forever in the next.

On Sunday, June 21st, the Sun, ruler of our self-expression and inner light, shifted into empathic, water sign Cancer at 4:24am Eastern Time and is now forming a positive sextile to Chiron, the Healer of Soul Wounds, who has just moved into stable, earth sign Ta**us on Friday.

This provides an opportunity to bring in emotionally nurturing and grounding energy in order to heal wounds around security, self-worth and the physical body. It offers a supportive cosmic bridge between your inner emotional world and your physical reality.

The energy bridges Cancer's themes of safety and the feeling of belonging with Ta**us's themes of physical embodiment and valuing oneself. It acts as a supportive opening to heal deep-seated insecurities.

Things to focus on today include:

Embodied healing, where you allow your physical body and senses to participate in your healing journey, rather than just relying on the mind. Use your emotional intuition and instincts to comfort yourself when anxieties and fears arise.

Reframing your value and feelings of lack or worthlessness. It is time to recognize that true emotional richness and needs have immense value. Remember that true, lasting security comes from validating your own emotions.

Nurturing your insecurities by tending to the unhealed aspects of the inner child. Cancer is the cosmic "Mother" and Ta**us represents "Mother Nature". So, this is an invitation to heal yourself through simple, physical acts of care, like spending time in nature, enjoying a good meal, or creating a cozy, safe environment at home.

Self-care and loving yourself are the keys today!

On Friday, June 19th, we have Chiron, ruler of deep soul wounds and challenges, shifting into earth sign Ta**us, sign of our tangible experience, where he will stay until the year 2034. He will revisit Aries, sign of the self, briefly from September 18th until April 14th, 2027 before moving back into Ta**us for the next seven to eight years.

This will shift the focus to the physical, financial and material aspects of our lives. Themes of self-worth, financial security, material abundance and environmental sustainability will become the focus of healing for the next several years.

Chiron is known as the Wounded Healer. It represents our deepest core wound...personally and collectively. In Greek mythology, Chiron was a Centaur who was a teacher, healer, and mentor to heroes. But, he was immortal, he could not die and was forced to endure the agony of his unhealable wound. This reflects the astrological theme of a wound that we carry, learn to live with, and ultimately heal through, rather than from.

Because the practical sign of Ta**us rules money, this transit may trigger deep-seated anxieties or past traumas regarding financial security, scarcity, and how we manage our resources.

On a collective level we may experience shifts in the world's economy. This energy can expose economic wounds and highlight vulnerabilities, shifting the global focus toward sustainability, food security, and re-evaluating what holds true intrinsic value.

There will be a focus on the earth's resources and ecology. It will bring critical issues like food scarcity, and natural resources management to the forefront. There is a collective reckoning around ecological responsibility and how the earth's resources are used.

Chiron in Ta**us will also bring up wounds regarding our physical embodiment. It highlights our relationship with the Earth, our physical bodies, sensuality, and finding comfort outside of external validation. Healing of our own physical body-image insecurities will rise to the forefront. Grounding ourselves and connecting with nature will become more important.

Ta**us also rules values and how we value ourselves. It rules our self-worth. This energy pushes us to address feelings of inadequacy, shifting the focus to recognizing our inherent value rather than earning our worth through productivity, status or what we own. On a collective level this transit triggers a societal shift in how we define wealth.

While Chiron transited Aries from 2018 until now, we were healing the wounds of self-identity, individuality and the right to exist. Now, with Chiron in Ta**us from 2026 until 2034 we are healing the wounds of abundance, embodiment and worth, as well as our connection to Earth Mother Gaia.
