Dealing with nagging pain on the side of your hip? It could be Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS).
While targeted rehab is key, simple everyday modifications can make a massive difference in reducing irritation. Here are 4 quick self-management tips to get you started:
🛌 Adjust your sleeping position: Avoid sleeping directly on the painful side. Instead, try sleeping on your back or your non-affected side with a pillow tucked between your knees and ankles to keep your hips aligned.
🪑 Uncross those legs: Avoid sitting with crossed legs, as this can increase tension on the hip tendons.
🧘♂️ Pause the stretching: Temporarily hold off on deep glute stretches, which can actually compress and irritate the affected area further.
Small changes, big relief! 🙌
