A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our special Accent High Tea event at Changing Seasons Cafe on Monday.

It was wonderful to see almost 50 clients relaxing over a delicious chef‑prepared High Tea, meeting the Accent team face to face, and exploring their care options in such a supportive and friendly setting.

Our VIP guests enjoyed beautifully prepared treats, delicate savouries and of course the obligatory fresh scones with cream, all paired with barista‑made coffee. Everyone that came was also presented with a take-home Accent gift bag, and many were also treated to a lucky door prize - from Lindt chocolates to a green‑thumb gardening pack and more.

The afternoon was a truly warm celebration of community and connection. We’ll be also sharing highlights from our second Accent High Tea event tomorrow - so stay tuned.

With the rain tapping on the windows yesterday, our Tabulam and Templer residents and lifestyle team turned the lounge into an indoor Bocce arena - full of fun, friendly rivalry and a few “champion‑level” throws that definitely earned some appreciative applause from our care team.

It’s always great to see how a simple game brings everyone together, keeps us active and adds a bit of extra energy to the day — and always with plenty of encouragement coming from the sidelines!

This World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we are reminding our community that staying connected keeps older people safe, valued, and seen.

Isolation can make elder abuse hard to spot. But a simple conversation, a morning tea, or a shared activity can change everything.

At TTHA and Accent Home Care, we believe dignity grows through connection.

This week, we invite you to share one simple act of care:

From the first note to the final applause, our Social Support Group’s (SSG) latest adventure was filled with rhythm, smiles and a whole lot of fun, as Lottie described in her delightful recap of the day…

Our TTHA/Accent Home Care Social Support Group had a ball today with lunch and a show at Morning Melodies at the Mountain View Hotel in Glen Waverley. The entertainer was Arnie Grieves - One Man Show, and boy, the way he sang and moved around, it could have been three of him. Arnie sang well known songs from our younger days, all with a leg moving rhythm, so it didn't take long before we found our dancing feet and moved with the crowd! Arnie moved from table to table to say hello and even stood on one table to sing for a while.

On the way home we had some time up our sleeves for a bit of shopping at the Big Watermelon and for a stroll through part of the Tim Neville Arboretum which is a delight at any time of the year.

Kerstin and Charmaine were our lovely carers for the day, and we thank them ever so much for looking after our welfare so very well, and always with a smile! ❤️😊

Crispy panko crumb, Napoli sauce bursting with flavour, shaved ham, and mozzarella melted to perfection… all served with crunchy chips and a fresh salad. It’s the kind of meal that makes cold weather feel like a bonus!

What a wonderful day out our TTHA/Accent Social Support Group (SSG) recently enjoyed, starting at the Old Man Drew Cafe. Famous for its beautiful courtyard, vintage charm, and fantastic coffee, it was the perfect spot for a relaxed morning tea.

Afterwards, the group took a leisurely stroll along the Maribyrnong River, soaking in the sunshine and scenery, before settling in for a delicious lunch at the Kitchen & Bar at the Riverside Golf & Country Club. A day that truly nourished both the eyes and the appetite!
