Ok. What would you like your arm pits to smell like? 😄

Fresh and floral, warm and spicy, bright and citrusy, or absolutely nothing at all?

Whichever Rodeo you choose, think of it as a little skincare for your pits — a tallow and olive oil base that feels beautifully nourishing while keeping you smelling delicious.

Tomorrow, Andrew and I are heading into the countryside for more than 100 kilometres and a big day of climbing. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

We’re generally pretty good at fuelling while we’re on the bikes, but where we often fall down is afterwards - when we hop into the car tired, hungry and facing an hour’s drive home.

So, I’ve made us recovery choccy milks to keep chilled in the cooler, ready to enjoy as soon as we finish. They contain protein, carbohydrate and a little salt to begin replacing some of what we’ll use - and sweat out - over a rather large day 😅

Recovery Choccy Milk
Per person

300ml Bonsoy
1 serve Creamy Vanilla Goat Whey Protein
1 tablespoon cacao (melted in a little hot water)
1½–2 tablespoons honey/maple syrup
A pinch of salt

Add everything to a bottle and shake it really well - or blend it before pouring it in. Keep properly chilled until you’re ready to drink.

Creamy, chocolatey and I suspect exactly what two very tired cyclists will feel like when they finally make it back to the car! 🍫🥛

You’ll find my Creamy Vanilla Goat Whey Protein via the link in my bio.

I used to want to drop a dress size - these days, I just want more muscles 😂💪

We were being very silly when this photo was taken and I was giving my very best beefcake impression - in fact I think I almost pulled a muscle 😉 But underneath the silliness, I am not afraid to say that I’m quite proud to finally have a few (at least visible!) muscles again.

It was about 17 years ago now that I was in gyms/seeing a PT/well enough to properly build strength. So after years of CFS, being able to lift weights & do Pilates consistently, and challenge my body and watch it grow stronger, feels so exciting - and something I will never take for granted.

Like many women of my generation, I used to worry a lot about the number on the scales. But these days, regardless of outgrowing a few clothes, getting smaller just isn’t the goal anymore.

At almost 54, I want strong legs to carry me up mountains. Strong arms to lift heavy things. Strong bones, a capable body and the freedom to keep doing the things I love for many years to come 🚴‍♀️ (speaking of, pls also note hard earned cycling glove hands and arms - even tans are also a thing of the past 🙃)

I think we should all feel free to celebrate our inner beefcake, don’t you?! You’re all certainly welcome around here!🔥🙌

Now, someone pass me my goat whey protein! 😉💪🏼

One of the questions I’m often asked is:
“How do I actually remember to take the blends consistently?”

Usually, the answer isn’t more discipline, it’s less decision-making. Habit stacking is one of the simplest ways to make supportive habits feel automatic, because instead of trying to create an entirely new routine, you simply attach the habit to something you already do.

So instead of:
“When should I take this?”

Make it:
“I take this when I do that.”

Small shift. Big difference 🤍

The days you nearly don’t. 🚴‍♀️

No heroic effort this morning. Just a bunch of small opportunities to call it quits and choosing not to.

I’m learning that big goals definitely aren’t achieved in the big, impressive efforts. They’re built in the small, ordinary ones we keep showing up for.
