Managing aged care can involve keeping track of assessments, approvals, referrals, and important updates. However, you don’t always need to contact My Aged Care by phone to find the information you need.

Your My Aged Care Online Account allows you to access important information in one place. You can check your progress, view estimated wait times, review referrals and updates, and manage your aged care information online.

You can access your My Aged Care Online Account through myGov. Before linking the service, you must first be registered with My Aged Care. Once registered, you can link My Aged Care to your myGov account.

You only need to link My Aged Care once. After that, simply sign in to myGov and select the My Aged Care service tile to access your account whenever you need it.

First Nations Connect is a new phone service that helps give First Nations people with disability, their families and carers a pathway to NDIS, that is safe, respectful and tailored.

It builds on insights from over 230 stakeholders in the First Nations National Contact Centre Gap Analysis. These include First Nations participants, families and carers, National Contact Centre staff, community led organisations and key partners.

‘Having access to services tailored to First Nations people is essential, ensuring these services are relevant and respectable is a must.’ Dr Richie Fejo, First Nations participant and NDIA Board member says.

Following sustained advocacy by Ageing Australia and our members, the Australian Government has today announced planned changes to legislation to support human intervention when the outcome of the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT) is clearly incorrect.

“Every situation is different, and everyone’s needs are different. Allowing a System’s Governor to have the final say on assessments brings that much needed human element back to the process. It’s people making decisions about people,” Ageing Australia CEO Tom Symondson said.

These changes are a significant step towards improving fairness, transparency and confidence in the Single Assessment System.

We thank the Government for listening to our concerns and acting. We also welcome the opportunity to be part of the design and the implementation of the changes.

Mandatory registration for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and digital platform providers has commenced today, 1 July 2026.

This means that every NDIS-funded SIL and platform provider must apply to register with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

New SIL Practice Standards have also come into effect for SIL providers.

Together, these reforms strengthen safeguards, improve quality and consistency, and support participant-centred, rights-based outcomes across the NDIS.

Find out more about these reforms via the link (Reform Hub) in the comments.

D&C Nursing Care has been built from the ground up with care, purpose, and professional experience. Every policy, procedure, system, and process has been thoughtfully developed by us, one step at a time. Rather than outsourcing the foundation of our organisation, we have chosen to build it ourselves, ensuring that every part reflects our values, commitment to quality, and understanding of the care sector.

Our little business is growing steadily not by taking shortcuts, but by building strong, sustainable foundations. Every improvement strengthens our ability to deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality support.

D&C Nursing Care was created with both professional expertise and genuine compassion. Our mission is to ensure that every person we support receives the right care, is treated with dignity and respect, and is empowered to live as independently and confidently as possible. We believe that quality care comes from people who truly understand the industry and genuinely care about making a positive difference in the lives of others.
