🌱 Helping Kids Manage Anxious Thoughts 🌱
Anxious thoughts can sound very convincing…
💭 “What if something bad happens?”
💭 “I can’t do it.”
💭 “Everyone will laugh at me.”
One of the most helpful skills we can teach children is how to notice these “worry thoughts” and replace them with more balanced, helpful thoughts.
🟢 Instead of “I can’t do it.” ➜ “I can give it a try.”
🟢 Instead of “What if something goes wrong?” ➜ “I’ll handle it if it happens.”
🟢 Instead of “I’m too scared.” ➜ “I can be brave, even when I feel scared.”
Remember, being brave doesn’t mean not feeling scared—it means taking small steps forward despite the worry.
💚 Helping children build a “green thought” habit can improve confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing over time.
