Formerly Home Instead Australia, Dovida provides high-quality, person-centred home care to the Outer North East community. Dovida creates a Circle of Care that places individuals at the centre of a holistic support system, uniting families, our skilled caregivers, our support teams, and the wider healthcare community. We provide a range of services including everyday companionship, domestic assistance, personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transport to appointments, shopping and social outings. Care is available up to 24hrs a day and ranges from light housekeeping to dementia care and palliative care.

Welcome news for personal care 🤎

Personal care under Support at Home is changing from 1 October. For eligible participants, services like help with showering, dressing and medication will no longer carry a contribution. Caregivers and routines stay just as they are.

💙 Dementia Action Week starts today | 21–27 September

This year, Dementia Australia is encouraging everyone to start the conversation about dementia.

For people living with dementia and their families, having the right information and support can make a real difference.

To mark Dementia Action Week, Dovida Melbourne Outer North East is hosting a FREE Dementia Information Morning for our local community.

As part of Dementia Action Week, we’re excited to be hosting a special community event at Dovida Briar Hill.

We’re bringing together some great speakers to help raise awareness, share information and support local families who may be navigating dementia and aged care.

Whether you’re living with dementia, supporting a loved one, caring for a parent, or simply want to learn more, we’d love for you to join us.

The session will provide an opportunity to learn more about dementia, navigating aged care, and the home care support available to help people remain living independently at home.

🎲 Activity Hub – Games Day! 🎨
We had such a wonderful time at our Activity Hub on August 6th! ❤️
Our elderly participants and carers enjoyed a fun-filled day playing Italian card games, UNO, Scrabble, Snakes & Ladders and Dominoes, as well as creating their own beautiful gift cards. 🎨🃏
With plenty of laughter, friendship, morning tea and lunch, it was a lovely day spent together! 🥰
