We recently had the pleasure of partnering with Enable Lifecare for a hands on training session focused on practical solutions, clinical insight, and real world application.

The session brought together industry professionals to explore product demonstrations, share in depth knowledge, and discuss how we can collectively improve outcomes across care environments.

Pressure care is not just about softness.

Effective pressure management is achieved through the balance between immersion and firm clinical support. While overly soft surfaces may feel comfortable initially, they can compromise posture, reduce stability, and increase peak pressure over time.

Exciting day for our team as we welcomed the Enable Lifecare team for an in-depth training session on the new Elata mattress range.

A big thank you to Callyn Jones and Jurgen Vos for taking the team through the full range and providing hands-on product education. Sessions like these are incredibly valuable in helping our staff better understand the clinical features, pressure care benefits, and real-world applications of the products we provide.

We’re excited to announce that the Elata mattress range is now available for both in-store and in-home trials across all our locations.

Looking forward to bringing more innovative pressure care solutions to clinicians, participants, and care providers.

PD Session at Able Living

Great to host a powered mobility education session at our showroom.

It was a valuable afternoon working alongside physiotherapists to explore real world applications of powered mobility devices. From electric wheelchairs to mobility scooters, the session focused on practical assessment, clinical decision making, and understanding how different environments influence equipment performance.

Participants had the opportunity to:

• Compare device types side by side
• Practise indoor and outdoor driving assessments
• Discuss selection criteria based on client needs
• Review trial and ordering pathways

Hands on learning always brings a different level of clarity. Equipment behaves differently outside of a controlled display space, and understanding those nuances supports safer prescribing and better long term outcomes.

ATSA Sydney 2026 Recap

A big thank you to everyone who visited us at ATSA Independent Living Expo. It was great connecting with clinicians, suppliers, partners and industry peers over the two days.

From powered mobility and lift recliners to pressure care and homecare solutions, the conversations were focused on one thing real world application. How equipment performs in practice matters.

We were especially pleased to showcase our mobile showroom concept and modular mattress solutions, and to discuss how on site trials can reduce risk and support more confident clinical decision making.

Equipment that performs well in a controlled display environment may behave very differently in a client’s home. Door thresholds, floor transitions, ramp gradients and space constraints all influence safety, usability and long term outcomes.

On site equipment trials allow clinicians to assess real conditions, compare options side by side and identify potential risks before they become issues.

At Able Living, we support hands on trials in real environments to help reduce clinical risk, improve prescribing confidence and ensure equipment truly fits the client’s daily setting.
