This is the last Lenalidamide capsule Chris will ever have to take.... and now it's gone!!

I'm very excited and relieved that Chris has reached this milestone. Thanks for all the support while we've gone through this process. Now there's just the infusions left.

[Emily posting] Hi Friends, time for an update:

Things have been a bit rough lately, Chris and I have both been sick with a virus and I've had an issue with my left wrist (dominant hand).

However, these things are resolving.

Chris was supposed to start the last round of his chemotherapy tablets on 24th June, but it had to be pushed back because he was sick. It was then supposed to be the first week of July but he was still unwell, so he had an appointment today to see if he could take it now.

Well, he can!

He had the first dose of his last round tonight, and he will have 13 (13!) more doses, giving a projected finish date for his chemotherapy of Sunday 26th July. This is great news!

His infusions will still continue every 8 weeks for another year, however these don't seem to cause any side effects so everything seems much more manageable.

I'm so relieved!

How many chemotherapy tablets does Chris have to take before he's finished?

Another positive check up with the Oncologist. He proclaimed himself happy with Chris's progress, and said he was in good shape. He'll only need to have another three rounds of chemotherapy tablets! The rounds consist of 14 days of tablets with 21 days in between (2 weeks on, 3 weeks off).

Today marks the one year anniversary of Chris being suspected of a relapse. This one has been much easier to deal with than the one in 2019, but the effects will continue for a couple of years yet. Ironically, Chris was officially diagnosed with a relapse of Follicular lymphoma on our 20th wedding anniversary.
